Deacon Sunday, March 26 Next Sunday is more than just a day to learn what Deacons do- it’s a day to recognize what God is doing through their faithful, compassionate work. Deacon Sunday helps lead to lives impacted for Christ and explains how you can get involved. The Deacon ministry provides food cards, assists with utilities, and helps with medical needs and short-term housing. Last year the Deacons disbursed over $14,000 to those in our church and community. Deacons reach out to families with newborns, prepare communion, serve at memorial receptions, repair simple household projects, send out care packages to our students and military, visit those in hospitals, care for the lonely, and coordinate flowers on Sundays. Join us next Sunday and be blessed by the ministry of the Deacons and learn how we can share in this ministry.
