Meet Julia Tucker VPC's new Assistant Minister of Music Julia is a native of Auburn, Alabama. She holds two degrees in Piano Performance from Auburn University and Syracuse University and a Masters in Organ Performance from Syracuse University, where she studied with Dr. Annie Laver. Julia keeps a very active performing schedule as an organ performer, collaborative pianist, harpsichord player and choral singer. She is the 2017 recipient of the Civic Morning Musicals award for excellence in organ and piano performance, and was a 2017 finalist in the Strader Organ Competition. Julia has been serving as a church musician since she was an early teenager and is passionate about assisting and empowering choirs and congregations to give their best to God through song and praise. She recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona to begin doctoral studies in Organ Performance with Dr. Kimberly Marshall. Julia is a wonderful addition to our team; please welcome her when you see her!
