HUSSY HICKS Critically acclaimed Australian act Hussy Hicks are a tour de force featuring Leesa Gentz’ powerhouse soul vocals and Julz Parker’s revered guitar skills. Prolific accomplished musicians, Hussy Hicks have honed their sonic dexterity over the past 12 years with six studio albums, multiple industry awards and more than 1000 live shows, from Australia’s biggest blues, roots and folk festivals to 15 plus international tours, which now sell out across Europe. Mar 12 CHAMBER PEARLS AT PALMWOODS Pacific Chamber Players will perform the Romantic Trio Pathétique by Mikhail Glinka, the hypnotic Overture on Hebrew Themes by Sergei Prokofiev and the rarely heard yet delightful Trio Miniatures by Paul Juon. A Russian program can never omit such greats as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Two Pieces for Bassoon and Piano, and Alexander Borodin’s String Quartet No 2. Mar 11-13 MOOLOOLABA TRIATHLON Mooloolaba Triathlon (Moo Tri) returns with a jam-packed weekend of festival fun for the whole family. Set in the home of triathlon and the ultimate holiday destination, Moo Tri offers four great races in one stunning beach location.
