Harvest season has finally arrived. We have been busy prepping the cellars, welcoming new harvest staff, and having health and safety meetings to make sure we continue to stay safe and physically distanced. Our sparkling grapes and early ripening white varieties are picked first (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling), while the red grapes spend a longer time on the vines to ripen throughout October. It’s the busiest time of the year, but we’re all excited to see how the wines taste throughout fermentation.
Winemaker’s notes: A classic single varietal from our Clark Farm Vineyard (70%), and from long-standing growers within the Niagara Peninsula. After a two-week maceration, the wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels and received a full malolactic fermentation.

Winemaker’s notes: Riesling grapes were harvested from vineyards in the Niagara Peninsula, gently pressed and underwent a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the bright aromatics. The fermentation is stopped at a point of balance to produce a wine with fresh acidity and a juicy off-dry finish. Flavour profile: Clear and bright with a fresh aroma of tangerine, white peach, melon, and white fl owers. Wonderful fl avours of juicy citrus, peach, and tropical fruit present on the palate while notes of lemon, lime, apple, and golden kiwi linger on the refreshing finish. Best served: Chilled at 10 to 12°. Drink while young and fresh paired with citrus chicken, seafood, barbecued pork ribs with barbecue sauce or marmalade baked ham.
