How To Remove Chest Hair Removing Chest Hair Both men and women have visible hair on the head, armpits, eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic region, arms, and legs; and men also have thicker hair on their face, abdomen, back and chest. Hair usually becomes more visible during and after puberty. Men tend to have longer, thicker, more visible body hair than women. Excessive chest hair is an issue that affects many men, and even women, who wish to achieve a cleaner look and better hygiene. While some men shave because they find it cleaner to live with no hair others are humiliated by the large amount of body hair that they have. For men, chest hair removal can depend on a few things most notably the amount of hair to be removed, the desired length of time that you’d like the hair removed, the amount of money and time you have to spend on the hair removal and finally the goal of the hair removal. While popular options like waxing, chemical depilatories and shaving are commonly used to remove chest hair; men might also opt for choices that could provide longer term results such as laser or light-based hair removal to achieve chest hair removal. Each of these methods offers their own pros and cons, based on factors such as price or pain. Depending on your goals, these will influence which hair removal method you will choose. Razor cut.Trim the hair down with scissors or electric shears and shave the rest off. Wash your chest area with warm water, leave it damp, apply shaving cream and gently shave off the chest hairs. Be careful not to apply too much pressure and cut yourself. Remove all the hair, wash your chest again and apply a skin moisturizer. Depilatory cream. Apply a depilatory cream to remove chest hair. Wash your chest and spread the cream over the hairs you want to remove. Let the depilatory work for 10 to 20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. If you have excess hair that was not removed, you can repeat this procedure or shave off the remaining hair using shaving cream and a razor. Waxing. Purchase a wax kit at your local drugstore and apply the heated wax with the applicator. Place the cloth strip over the waxed area and smooth it out. Take one end of the strip and pull off quickly as if ripping off a band aid. Do this in every area you wish to have hair removed. Laser removal. Visit a doctor trained in laser hair removal. With this technology, light is directed at the hair and is absorbed by dark pigment, resulting in the destruction of the hair follicle. Laser hair removal technology became widespread in the US and many other countries from the 1990s onwards. It has been approved in theUnited Statesby the FDA since 1997.This hair removal method becomes permanent after many sessions. The number of sessions needed depends upon the amount and type of hair being removed. New equipment for performing laser hair removal at home has become available in recent years.

Electrology. Electrology has been in use in the United States for over 130 years and is recognized by the FDA as the only permanent hair removal. This technique permanently destroys germ cells responsible for hair growth by way of insertion of a fine probe in the hair follicle and the application of a current adjusted to each hair type and treatment area. If you are just looking for a quick and cheap way to reduce the amount of chest hair that you have you may be open to other options that perhaps don’t involve the time, cost or pain that some other hair removal options generally cause. Obviously there is a big difference between removing chest hair completely and simply reducing the amount of hair that you have or more specifically, simply trimming it to keep it short and therefore appear less noticeable. A Quick and relatively cheap way to reduce chest hair is to buy a pair of hair clippers. Using the hair length selector makes sure that the hair is evenly cut and avoids having you end up with bald spots if you trim too close without the length selector. If you don’t like the resulting look, the hair should grow back within several weeks depending on how short you trimmed it. If you do like the look, you simply use the hair trimmer again once the hair has grown back to a length that requires further shortening.
