Sundae Ice Cream Party Recipes Sundae Recipes To Die For! My family always look forward to summer when we make a sundae on those hot afternoons or better still lots sundaes. Summertime just wouldn’t be the same without this frosty treat. So, Why not try something a little different this year and throw an ice cream party. The essential ingredients for a sundae are ice cream, dessert syrups and different flavored sauces with whipped cream and maraschino cherry toppings. Or you can try gourmet sundaes using ingredients like, maple cream, hot fudge or caramel sauce, semi-sweet or dark chocolate, with different types of ice cream served with wafers and topped off with pistachio nuts and sprinkles to taste. Wow your guests with these recipes for classic or traditional French Sundaes. The original sundae has vanilla ice cream topped with a flavored sauce or syrup, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. These classic sundaes are named after the flavored syrup employed in the recipe for example chocolate sundae, strawberry sundae, raspberry sundae. The sundae is traditionally served in a tulip-shaped, footed glass vase.
