SITE ANALYSIS Mission Bay was used as a convenient place to deposit refuse from building projects and debris from the 1906 earthquake. This area quickly became an industrial district.Since 1998, this area was eveloped to a wealthy neighborhood of luxury apartment buildings, hospitals, and development. South of Market is next to the Financial District and downtown San Francisco. Mission Bay is residential and commercial district which combines the elbow room of a more open physical landscape with all the benefits of living downtown. Mission Bay is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development Commuters rely on Muni T line, which travels from Mission Bay up along the waterfront to the Embarcadero BART station. Residents can access downtown San Francisco or key tech centers to the south via the adjacent main Cal Train terminal.

URBAN FOREST Concept Statement

The concept Urban Forest comes from the city San Francisco which is a modern city and also has golden gate park in the city. Humans get along well with nature. People will have a space travel between forest and modernization in the house. I use industrial materials, forms and structures to combine with the lines, colors, and rhythm from plants. The palm tree, cobblestone and succulent plant are the elements and inspirations which are the representative San Francisco.
