VAPORTEK CONCEPT – HOW DOES IT WORK?

VaporShark is a portable electric machine that uses a harmless technology that quickly, effectively and permanently removes bad odours and renews the air in indoor spaces. VaporShark uses Vaportek’s patented membrane system, which contains a complex blend of more than 30 different, and 100% natural, essential oils.

The VaporShark treats areas up to 2500 m3 (800 m3 per membrane and the unit is designed to hold up to three membranes) to effectively eliminate odour pollution, quickly and safely. The unit is primarily intended for delivering a fast, high-intensity odour neutralizing treatment. A characteristic neutralizer fragrance will be noticeable during operation as the essential oil dry vapour circulates throughout the treatment area. Residual fragrance will dissipate in a matter of hours after treatment ends.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Place on a firm, stable surface in a relatively high location. Can be used freestanding or permanently installed to air handling systems. For initial treatment, open air inlet approx. 1,5 cm.

After 10-15 minutes, adjust air inlet as necessary to either reduce vapour output (close inlet) or increase vapour output (open farther). When unit is not in use, membrane life may be extended by securely closing the air inlet opening and the front access door. Deodorization may require as little as 15-60 minutes for light contamination. For more severe contamination, treatment may take several hours or days.

PROCEDURE WHEN USING THE VAPORSHARK:

1. Prior to use, a general and thorough cleaning has been carried out and the source of the smell has been removed, e.g. removal of soot particles, etc. If necessary, wash/rinse all surfaces with one of the following Vaportek ECOZ odour neutralizing concentrates: SOS, Classic Neutral, Summer Orange or Lemon.

2. The VaporShark is placed in the room that is desired to be odour treated. Place the device as high as possible, as the dry vapour is slightly heavier than air. Close doors and windows.

3. The VaporShark should not be used in rooms larger than 2500 m3. In that case, use more VaporSharks.

5 ON

Plug the VaporShark into outlet.

Adjust air inlet by rotating dial clockwise to loosen lever. Move the lever up & down to adjust air flow. Plug the Vapor Shark into outlet. Click the On/Off button into the On position. When not in use, preserve membrane life by closing all inlet openings.

Click the On/Off button into the On position. Place the membrane in the airtight bag in the can when the VaporShark is not in use. THE MEMBRANE MUST BE STORED IN A SEPARATE CAN AFTER USE!

4. One membrane is designed to treat approx. 800 m3

5. Calculate the room size and place the required number of membranes in the grid. Our experience shows that the best result, in larger rooms, e.g. 1500-2500 m3, achieved if two VaporSharks with max. 3 membranes in each VaporShark.

6. It is recommended to work with an overdose. That is insert possibly one membrane more than necessary, however max. 3 membranes. This achieves an optimal and faster effect..

7. If two VaporSharks are used in the same room, then place them at opposite ends of the room.

8. Switch on the machine and start adjusting the damper (Air Inlet). The damper can then be adjusted if it seems that too much or too little dry steam is being released.

9. Odour remediation can be done in 15-60 minutes for light odour nuisances. In the case of more serious odour nuisances, the treatment may take several hours or days, depending on the type of odour, odour intensity and room size. If necessary, check the result/difference after the first 24 hours.

10. When the VaporShark is not in use, the membranes are placed in the airtight bag, which is placed in the can (both included). The can can be stored in the VaporShark when the machine is not in use.

IMPORTANT

As with any powered tool, certain precautions for safe and efficient use apply. Please follow these rules and recommenda-

tions when using the VaporShark:

1. The membrane is sealed. Do not puncture or open the membrane.

2. Do not allow membrane oils to come in contact with finished surfaces. Finished surfaces may be damaged by direct contact with oils. If oils should leak, wash affected skin, clothes, and/or surfaces with soapy water.

3. For best results, store membranes in a cool, dry location and keep away from extreme heat.

4. Replace membranes after 270 hours of use.

5. Dry vapour output will be affected by humidity, airflow, and temperature. Ideal dry vapour release occurs at 10-27°C. Vapour release significantly increases in excess of 32°C.

6. Vaportek products use natural essential oils. If an allergic reaction occurs, please discontinue use immediately.

7. Not designed for continuous, long-tern operation.
