Larry O'Brien, CCE, ICCE Named Credit Executive of the Year The Robert M. Healy Credit Executive of the Year Award was presented at the NACM Midwest Annual Meeting on April 21st. This year Mr. Robert Healy himself presented the award to Larry O’Brien, CCE, ICCE. Larry has been extremely active with the Association in the past several years and is currently the Chair of the NACM Chicago/Midwest Board of Directors. Following are Mr. Healy's comments: Known for his mentorship in and out of his company, this year’s Credit Executive of the Year never passes up the opportunity to help his staff and other credit professionals enrich their knowledge. A good listener, coach, decision maker and leader, his staff acknowledges him as the biggest proponent of education that they have had in their careers. He and his staff belong to numerous credit groups, all have their CCE’s or are working on them,
staff is encouraged to travel to see customers and to work actively with the Sales Team, emphasizing the importance of the relationship between the two departments. A long-time supporter of NACM Connect, he is often participating in the educational activities of the Association, speaking at numerous conferences and annual meetings. He has led several committees and serves on the Board of Directors.

2016 Annual Meeting Wraps Up Year for NACM Connect The NACM/Chicago-Midwest Annual Meeting was held at the Meridian Banquet Hall in Rolling Meadows, IL on April 21st. NACM/Chicago-Midwest is the legal name of the entity that encompasses the NACM Connect family. As is tradition, at this meeting the members of NACM Connect are invited to participate in a day of education, offering both a domestic and an international credit track, followed by a networking reception where the governing Board of Directors is installed for the upcoming year. Following are the addresses given at the annual meeting by outgoing Chair, Christine Alix, CICP, The Chamberlain Group, Incoming Chair, Larry O’Brien, CCE, ICCE, and NACM Connect President and COO, Phil Lattanzio, CCE: Outgoing Chair, Christine Alix, ICCE Chairing the governing Board of NACM/ Chicago-Midwest has been one of the
great honors of my career. Through the mentorship of Bob Vodraska, who we are so honored to have with us here this afternoon, I grew up in credit through the help of the Association which gave me the tools I needed to be successful. In this year of our new elite membership initiative, I encourage all you managers and supervisors to give the gift of belonging to the Association to your staff as well. During my time as chair, your Association continued to grow and further imbed itself as the premier NACM affiliate. We acquired two additional affiliates – NACM Greater Cleveland and NACM Southern Tier based in Binghamton, NY. Your Board worked diligently to help the Association’s management make a welcoming and productive work environment for the staff.
