STREET LEVEL
Maritime Garage Gallery
STREET LEVEL October 25, 2018 to January 18, 2019
Maritime Garage Gallery
11 North Water Street, Norwalk, CT 06854
32 pieces of artwork have been selected to be featured in the exhibition Street Level at the Maritime Garage Gallery. Hidden messages, bold colors, lines and imagery, powerful statements are some of the characteristics of the artworks selected for this exhibition. These pieces have been inspired by the street's language as street art, guerrilla art, graffiti, tagging, stencil graffiti, poster art, and urban intervention and movements. In many cases, we see juxtaposition of images and words that create a visual narrative of the artist vision. Others show more spontaneous gestures that give a sense of freedom and playfulness.
