Finding Panacea Towards humanity-centered design
Who is Nadim? Growing up in several countries has heavily influenced my taste and sensibilities. I think like both tourist and travel guide - a perspective shaped by curiosity, and awareness. I subscribe to Ossip Flechtheim’s proposal of futurism as a new academic discipline - a multifaceted field that understands: everything is connected. I seek to be a new kind of designer - a strategist who sees the world from a human perspective, rethinking what is possible - imagining, planning and creating a more just and sustainable world through the power of human-centered design and strategic thinking.

Research 4
To inform & inspire design A genuine focus on users begins with an understanding - they are human beings with values, behaviors, hopes and fears as complex as our own. Using human-centered research - we uncover the roots - building deep empathy with the people we are designing for - surfacing insights for a holistic understanding of users, behaviours, and trends. Understanding users is about getting to know them as people first, “users second.

Design 6
For a preferable future To design for positive change - we must think deeply about the consequences of our work - looking at problems through the complementary frames of culture and behavior. We are better equipped today with our knowledge of human behavior than ever before. Our traditional design roles have changed - we are not just givers of form - we are capable of building a preferable future that we all want to be a part of.

Strategy
8
Designing the Future Strategic foresight is innate in design. As designers, we must look ahead, propose a vision, and help navigate towards the imagined experiences. Beyond beautiful objects and experiences, strategic design looks beyond just immediate objectives. With a united north star to guide us - we can create things that look past immediate gratification, towards a contribution to the greater well-being of individuals, society and the environment.

Panacea
10
Humanity Centered Design In Greek mythology, Panacea was the goddess of universal healing - believed to have a potion that would cure any sickness or disease. To design a world we all want to live in - not only today, but tomorrow - we must consider the direct and secondary consequences of our work. To find a Panacea I aim to take on humanity’s challenges pertaining to health & wellness. With this north star, I find ways to create a positive impact on the world.
