EXTERIOR FACADE OF DAYCARE

DIFFERENT OPENING SIZES TO CATER FOR DIFFERENT HEIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS.

GENEROUS-SIZED BALCONY - A PRIVATE ZONE AROUND DWELLINGS WHICH PROVIDES THREE NECESSITIES: VISUAL PRIVACY, A BUFFER ZONE FOR NOISE BETWEEN THE DWELLING AND CHILDREN AT PLAY, AND A NEEDED OUTDOOR SPACE FOR SUCH ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES AS TODDLERS PLAY OR GARDENING.

THE PLAYGROUND

AMPLE SPACE IS PROVIDED TO CATER FOR GROSS MOTOR PLAY.

INTERIOR CENTRAL COURTYARD

NORTH ELEVATION

STAGGERED MASSING CREATES ENCLOSURE SPACE IN THE CENTER, WHICH ACTS AS INTERNAL COURTYARD AND IMPROVES ACTIVE SUPERVISION OF THE PLAY SPACES.

FACADE DESIGN

STAGGERED MASSING OPTIMIZES VIEWS WHILE MAINTAINING PRIVACY.
