POOR MELANIA TRUMP. Yes, really. The only person to have looked more out of their depth during the recent US presidential campaign than The Don himself has been his current wife. When the 46-year-old Slovenian landed in the USA in 1996 with her modelling career on the ascendant, and yes, even when she attached herself to an industry insider 24 years her senior (Trump owned the Miss USA and Miss Universe cattle shows at the time), she could not have expected that she would eventually have to support her egomaniacal husband in his quest
for world domination in the political arena as well. With her halting English and, one imagines, lack of interest in world affairs, she played a relatively minor role in the Trump campaign. Blinking like a deer in headlights on national TV, she demonstrated that her American Dream was never for the type of fame that required a speaking part. Now that Melania is to be First Lady, designer Sophie Theallet, a French immigrant to the US who regularly designed for and dressed Michelle Obama, has publicly stated she refuses

to dress Melania. “The rhetoric of racism, sexism and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by,” the designer tweeted in an open letter, encouraging others to follow suit. The first criticism of any “you may take her speeches but you’ll never get her clothing” campaign against Melania is its naiveté – after all, Mrs Trump the Third has the extensive resources of stepdaughter Ivanka Trump’s clothing and jewellery businesses to fall back on. A designer who refuses to work with the First Lady loses out a significant career step-up (First Ladies’ fashion choices are exhibited at the Smithsonian), so it’s a point of honour that can come at financial cost. And it’s bound to fail – other designers will rush to fill the void left by conscientious objectors. More compelling is the question: is it unfair – even anti-feminist – for a wife to be tarred with the same brush as her obnoxious husband? Just because Trump involved Bill Clinton in his antiHillary campaigning, doesn’t make it right. True, Melania did not distance herself from any of her husband’s sexist, anti-immigrant or any other utterings, but how free she is to do so is a valid question. Women who need to seek sugar daddies for their survival or advancement are generally invested in the patriarchy, not its dismantling. Sophie is registering her disapproval using the means at her disposal – good for her. As for me, I vote we all keep building a society in which fewer women are forced to make the types of compromises Melania has made in her life in order to get where she is. I vote we keep going until we are all discussing what the first female US president wears. ■

ON THE SURFACE, it might look like Kylie Jenner has it all. She’s only 19, but she’s already moved into and redecorated her fourth California mega-mansion, has launched her very own beauty empire with Kylie Cosmetics – and is still head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend of over two years, rapper Tyga, 27. Dig a little deeper, though, and the youngest Kardashian-Jenner seems almost friendless – she’s apparently struggling to hold on to her Insta-famous #squad of friends, which once included rumoured crush Jaden Smith, his sister, Willow, Sofia Richie, Pia Mia and
R&B singer Justine Skye. The only one who’s still in the picture? LA socialite and plus-size model Jordyn Woods. The pair hung out again at Tyga’s birthday parties last week, after celebrating Jordyn’s birthday together in September, where Kylie infamously presented her 18-year-old pal with a $70 000 (R1 million) Mercedes-Benz. With the rest of her tight-knit Kardashian family occupied with their own lives and careers – including her original BFF, sister Kendall Jenner – apparently Kylie basically spends all of her time with Tyga, who just turned 27. Or, as was the case at the
beginning of October, while the rest of her fam was in Paris for Fashion Week, she was left to rattle around inside her mansion with only her dogs – like greyhound Norman – and Snapchat for company. As Kylie wailed during the Snap session: “All of my friends cancelled on me.” When it came time to celebrate her 19th birthday with a holiday to Turks and Caicos in August, Jordyn and Justine were able to make it out, but the rest of the party was only made up of Kendall and her two model BFFs, Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin. And Tyga went along too – obviously.

Rumours that Kylie was headed for a lonelier existence first surfaced a year ago, when an insider revealed: “Kylie’s just way too full of herself, and nobody wants to deal with her anymore. Everyone jokes that Kylie’s head is so far up her own butt. She spends most of her time with Tyga’s crew now, even when he’s not around.” At the time, it seemed as though Kylie wasn’t taking the loneliness too badly, with the insider noting, “She couldn’t care less about anyone else but herself.” And apparently, when she does try to reach out and make new friends, Kylie is given the cold shoulder. Case in point: her rumoured attempts to chat to Lourdes Leon, 19, at Alexander Wang’s NYFW in September while they both sat FROW. It’s the second time Kylie is said to have been snubbed by Madonna’s eldest daughter. Last year, a source revealed: “Lourdes was raised to hate reality TV – it’s just not her world. And she’s very picky when it comes to her friends. The kids she hangs with in New York are all extremely intelligent. They’re all out to make an impact on the world, so they put a very high value 14
on knowledge and education. They’re much more interested in changing the world than taking selfies.” The source also added, “She thinks Kylie and her sisters are vile and has made a big effort to avoid them.” Another insider revealed that this is why Lourdes turned down a party invitation from Kylie last year. “She couldn’t believe Kylie thought she’d be receptive to a party invite and completely ignored her. As far as Lourdes is concerned, she’s not going to lower herself to even responding.” It’s also been almost a year since Kylie has spent any time with her former BFF Jaden – who still makes sure to hang out with their mutual

She’s never admitted it, but fans of the group Terror Jr suspect that the lead singer of the trio – which includes Felix Snow and David “Campa” Benjamin Singer-Vine – who goes by the name “Lisa Terror”, is in fact Kylie. The fact that Terror Jr’s single 3 Strikes formed the soundtrack to Kylie’s first ad for her lip kits is a strong indicator of the connection. Not to mention that Kylie’s name is listed on Terror Jr’s American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers registration for 3 Strikes… Kylie even took to Snapchat to deny the rumours last week, saying, “Public announcement: I’m not the singer of Terror Jr. I love their music, but it’s not me guys. It’s not me. So, yeah, I don’t know if the band is trying to get a little attention or what’s going on, but it’s not me.” A source reveals, “Kylie’s been taking singing lessons for over a year now, and music’s something none of her other sisters has done – well, except for Kim [who can forget her 2012 single Jam?!] – so she feels she can really take ownership of this. “She loves to keep people guessing, but the plan has always been to come clean eventually.” ■

THE SECRET TO ANY lasting marriage is having separate bathrooms, as relationship experts will no doubt tell you. But it seems Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have taken this concept one step further by remodelling their LA pad into separate his ’n’ hers wings. It makes sense, especially considering the fact that for most of their relationship, they have lived on opposite sides of the US. Earlier this year, a source revealed: “Jen and Justin will bicker over almost everything, from how much time they spend together to where they should live. She loves LA; he’ll take Manhattan.” 18
After spending a reported $22 million (R320 million) to buy the place three years ago, the pair now enjoy separate entrances, bathrooms and private gardens on either side of their Bel Air compound. Justin’s bathroom is currently under construction, but Jen’s boasts an outdoor bathtub and Zen garden. Both spaces are surrounded by high walls for maximum privacy… apparently from each other. Living separately yet still together is apparently all part of Jen’s plan to find herself again. As she revealed in an interview last month, she’s come to a bit of a crossroads career-wise. “This is a time when I’m not completely
sure what I’m doing. What used to make me tick is not making me tick anymore. The most challenging thing right now is trying to find what it is that makes my heart sing.” Another insider reveals: “Jen feels weird always having to play the mom in movies, especially with the constant speculation, but those are the only roles being offered to her. Because of their bickering, children are off the table for Jen and Justin right now, but she’s made peace with that. Right now she’s focused on making her marriage work.” And that apparently includes having separate corners in their mansion to take timeouts in. ■

3 WITH THE FUTURE of Keeping Up With The Kardashians seemingly hanging in the balance now that Kim Kardashian has taken a hiatus from public life, momager Kris Jenner is apparently looking to Kendall Jenner to boost ratings. According to an insider, Kendall, 21 – who has made a point of distancing herself from the Kardashian name to carve a career in the fashion world – is willing to get involved in a very personal storyline now that the future of the family fortune is at stake… “The ratings have dropped, and now Kendall is getting pressured by the family to come out of the closet,” the insider reveals. “She is sexually fluid, but in public she has only ever dated men. Now she is going to reveal a new side to her dating life: she dates models…” If interest in Kendall’s love life isn’t quite enough, Kris apparently has another storyline to fall back on: the conscious re-coupling of Kourtney Kardashian, 37, and 33-year-old Scott Disick. In July last year, it looked like their love was over for good, when Scott’s substance abuse problems seemingly got the better of him and the pair split. That was until last week, when they were pictured on a romantic bae-cation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Another insider reveals: “Scott’s asked to move back into Kourtney’s mansion after Christmas, and the couple have told pals they’re trying for another baby. “He apologised for his mistakes and told her he’s a changed man. Scott asked her to take him back, and it seems like she has. Kourtney’s always said she couldn’t imagine having another baby with anyone else but him.” ■

Tanzanian fashion designer Mustafa Hassanali, Swahili Fashion Week is now the biggest annual fashion event in the whole of East and Central Africa. Orapeleng Modutle’s OM Style Avenue will be heading over to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, to showcase their designs along with fellow local designers Rich Mnisi, Rubicon’s Hangwani Nengovhela, Valerie Amani and Tshepo Mafokwane of Sober, on December 3. Orapeleng tells Grazia, “I’m looking forward to seeing how my THE BRAINCHILD OF

brand is received, and I’m excited to get to know the Swahili culture.” Fashion has been a lifelong passion for Orapeleng. “Growing up, I was always fascinated by a bridal party passing by and how they looked. My creative influences derive from a childhood filled with visual arts. “But my exposure to the fashion industry really began during my tertiary years, when I interned for Stoned Cherrie. From there I adapted some business skills and started my own thing in 2013.” The designer has dressed everyone
from Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini to Ayanda Thabethe and Nomzamo Mbatha for red-carpet appearances, and the future looks bright. “African fashion has enjoyed massive media presence recently, which means the world is aware of the industry and the capabilities of its designers. Oh, and she shared a steamy kiss with Marc onstage during the Latin Grammys last week, too – just days before the news of his impending divorce from his wife of two years, Shannon de Lima, 28, went public. While it might seem like Marc, 48, and 47-year-old Jennifer are on the verge of reconciliation, a source

close to J.Lo maintains her interest in Marc is purely for show. “Jennifer is beautiful, rich, famous, a jack-of-all-trades and a triple threat of a performer. So why would she need to drag Marc on stage with her?! From temple to crown like a modern phenomenon, the global hair trade has been going on for centuries, everywhere from Brittany in France to Tamil Nadu in the south of India. It’s here that US-born, Mumbaibased photojournalist Allison Joyce journeyed last week, going inside one of the region’s largest temples – the Thiruthani Murugan Temple – to document the sacred practice of tonsuring: where thousands of women willingly shave their heads and donate their hair to the gods as an act of cleansing and sacrifice each year. Women like 28-year-old mother of two, Rupa, who had her head shaved – as well as those of her daughters – and donated it with the wish that the gods may cure her daughter of her illness. 24
Once the hair is donated, it’s auctioned off by the temple to hair processing plants like Raj Hair International, where a quarter of the hair they process is temple-donated and the rest comes from comb waste that people sell. From there, the hair is sewn by hand into a wig – which is why it can take up to a month to make a single one. Raj International then exports their weaves and wigs to 56 countries – while donating some to cancer patients at home in India too.
Allison’s images provide a peek behind the curtain of one of the means through which the multibillion global hair-trade industry is sustained. Sadly, according to Emma Tarlo, professor of anthropology at Goldsmiths and author of the recently released Entanglement: The Secret Lives of Hair, over the centuries one constant in the hair trade remains: it will always rely on a gap in wealth. Emma explains, “Hair flows most freely from the places where economic opportunities are few.” ■

SOFÍA JUST CAN’T SHAKE HER EX EVEN THOUGH THE pair called time on their four-year relationship (and two-year engagement) in 2014, and Sofía Vergara married Joe Manganiello almost a year ago in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida, her ex Nick Loeb just can’t leave her alone. As previously reported in Grazia, Sofía and Nick have been locked in a nasty court battle over the future of the two embryos they created together in 2013 with the intention of starting a family via surrogate. The 41-year-old businessman argues that he wants to become a father and, as a pro-lifer, won’t see their “daughters” destroyed. Nick has stated he’ll be raising the child on his own and won’t ask for child support, but Sofía, 44, counters that she won’t be forced to become a parent, revealing, “A child needs a mother and a loving relationship with parents who don’t hate each other. I wouldn’t want to bring kids into the world where it’s already set against them. It would be selfish.” Nick’s persistence isn’t surprising to insiders who maintain he’s never stopped loving Sofía. “It doesn’t matter to him that she hates him. For Nick, having her feel anything about him is better than having no connection to her at all.” The insider adds, “Nick is convinced that if he keeps hanging in there, Sofía will change her mind, and they’ll get married and start their family.” Recent rumours of trouble between Joe and Sofía have apparently only fuelled Nick’s desire. ■

Historically, women have always found themselves under the beauty microscope, but it seems as though the scales are finally about to balance, as the number of men seeking cosmetic dermatolog y is on the rise… FIRST CAME THE METROSEXUAL
– a man so attuned to his grooming needs, he not only understands the importance of moisturiser, he knows that not all moisturisers are created equal. His face is always smooth and cleanly shaven. His fingernails are immaculate, thanks to bi-monthly manis (clear polish only), and his body hair is always neatly manscaped. Think American Psycho’s Patrick

Bateman or, if you’re a millennial, Scott Disick or Jessie Williams. Two years ago, we all met the lumbersexual – a guy’s guy with a penchant for plaid shirts and beard oil. Not afraid to get dirty doing “manly things” like mountain climbing or woodwork, the lumbersexual “masks” his vanity with deceptively wellgroomed facial hair. And man buns. Ageing, for either of these tribes,
never seemed to be much of an issue. But in the age of social media, it would seem more and more men are looking to cosmetic dermatology to keep the tell-tale signs of Father Time at bay. And more importantly, they’re becoming less ashamed about keeping their methods a secret. At the beginning of the year, X Factor creator and judge Simon Cowell, 57, openly admitted to having Botox,

saying, “It begins with B and ends in otox. Louis [Walsh] started the trend. How many years have I known Louis? When was Westlife – 96/97? That’s 20 years, and he hasn’t changed. He’s got more hair now, and the bags have disappeared. It’s funny that.” While they’ve never said as much, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Ben Affleck and Tom Cruise’s suddenly smooth, wrinkle-free faces (especially during awards season) haven’t gone unnoticed by celeb watchers. According to Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr Robert Guida, “If people start looking the same, the surgeon is doing it wrong. Fillers should enhance one’s facial expressions, natural appearance and individuality.” Re George’s noticeably smoother appearance, Dr Guida guestimates the 55-year-old has gone in for fillers, administered by someone with an incredibly skilled hand, “When fillers are placed in the fullest part of the cheeks, they give a natural, supple look, which also lifts other features, such as the jaw line and corners of the mouth.” This is apparently why George has been able to maintain his trademark rugged good looks without looking haggard. Back in August – before the great split – an insider revealed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie loved to get couples’ cosmetic dermatology, saying, “They’re both terrified of ageing, so they’ve had a series of freshen-ups with their dermatologist. It’s taken ten years off them! Brad’s always been a fan of Radiesse wrinkle filler, while Angie’s hooked on laser resurfacing – which is why her skin looks so taut and translucent. Brad’s also been

experimenting with various tanning creams, which have also given him a more youthful look. They’re both big fans of Botox or Dysport injections.” Closer to home, Man Cave host and TV producer Janez Vermeiren, 38, as well as his fellow Man Cave host DJ Warras, 30, openly admit to having regular Botox sessions courtesy of a Joburg-based GP specialising in aesthetic medicine, Dr Reza Mia (Drrezamia.com). “I started going two months ago,” Janez tells Grazia. “I’ve always wanted to try it. The feature we did with Man Cave and Dr Mia was a welcome opportunity. “I got Botox on my forehead. It takes away the fine lines and helps my face look more natural on screen. Everyone who saw me told me my face looks fresher and more defined.”
Jarred Doyle, celebrity publicist and judge on TLC’s Next Great Presenter Search, has long been a fan of Dr Mia’s work too. “I get Botox and the Green Peel facial. The Green Peel facial is great before going on the red carpet, as it gives you an immediate glow. And Botox helps to relax the muscles in my neck and give me a more defined profile, which is great!” Of his introduction to cosmetic dermatology on Man Cave, Warras

explains: “After I saw what Botox does and how great it makes me feel, I figured there is something to all this stuff. I enjoy it now.” Dr Mia says he’s noticed a gradual increase in the number of men seeking non-invasive cosmetic treatment over the past five years. “At first, men made up about 10 percent of our patients, and now they make up 40 percent. “Most of the time, the men who come in have seen the great results in their partners’ faces or bodies, and they want the same for themselves. “More men are realising that aesthetic treatments won’t leave you looking feminine or ‘done’. We are happy to give them masculine results that complement their lives. The stigma that was previously associated with men having these procedures is fading, and men are now comfortable to share their experiences on social media and with their friends.” Dr Mia practises what he preaches. “I try many of the procedures before I provide the treatment to my patients. I like to know what the experience is like, as well as the limitations and possibilities of each treatment. “I do the procedures on myself, as I couldn’t find another doctor who was confident enough to do fillers under my eyes for my dark circles.” Of the lingering stigma surrounding cosmetic procedures, Janez says: “If we all sorted out our insecurities, I’m sure we would have a better society.” ■ Go to Graziadaily.co.za to find out who else we think is a fan of brotox

Ntsiki Mazwai has managed to earn herself the unenviable title of “cyberbully”, thanks to her shoot-from-the-hip tweets about all and sundry, and her fellow celebrities in particular. Most recently, Ntsiki’s tweets were aimed at media personality Bonang Matheba, whom she went off at for having a taste for what Ntsiki calls “trashy” and “violent” men. “Cabanga, being that girl who has to run around shouting ‘baby stop’. Gaaaaard! How embarrassing,” she tweeted, following reports of Bonang’s beau rapper AKA’s alleged physical altercation with organisers and fans at an event a

little over a month ago. It’s also been suggested that her tweet was a hint at allegations that Bonang’s ex-boyfriend DJ Euphonik allegedly physically abused her. This is just one example of a celebrity Twitter feud, and these are increasingly being regarded as a form of “cyberbullying”. A New York Times article – “The latest celebrity diet? Cyberbullying” – alluded to this habit, pointing out several instances of celebrities denigrating other famous people. But are these just petty battles, or are they calculated shots at garnering publicity? What does anyone, let alone a celebrity, stand to gain from such a stunt? In this case it wouldn’t be too farfetched to conclude that publicity has a lot to do with it...
A quick look at any gossip or entertainment website (Grazia included) suggests that writers get a lot of content from celebrities’ social media feeds. Being controversial, therefore, is bound to land one in the news, as Ntsiki knows very well. However, these celeb-on-celeb attacks can backfire, with the aggressor becoming the victim when fans of their target turn the abuse on them. Beyhive, anyone? Rapper Azealia Banks, known for having a go at folk on Twitter, learnt the hard way that bullying celebs can backfire when Twitter banned her for a racist tweet aimed at Zayn Malik. But what constitutes cyberbullying? If we take a look at the case between Ntiski and Bonang, it would seem to be a classic case of cyberbullying. In the aftermath of Ntsiki’s tweet, Bonang allegedly tried to address the matter privately in a threatening email. The musician wasted no time sharing the contents of the email on Twitter, and further reminded Bonang, “Asizontaga” (we are not peers). Bonang denied having sent the email. Both the initial attack and Bonang’s alleged retaliation could be seen as cyberbullying
by the South African Police Service. They define it as the use of “the internet, emails, text messages, instant messaging, social media websites, online forums, chat rooms or other digital technology to harass, threaten or humiliate”. Ntsiki has stated that she gets cyberbullied on Twitter “every day” by ordinary tweeps. These faceless abusers are referred to as trolls and have sent many a celebrity offline, with rapper HHP claiming earlier this year that he would be leaving Twitter because of a “Twitter demon”. He later said he would be penning a book titled “The Tokoloshe Can Tweet”. And remember when DJ Euphonik showed us all the middle finger after going on a Twitter rant about his former lover Bonang and misconceptions around their relationship? He ended the rant with “#nonke” (all of you), a hashtag that’s continued to live on in meme heaven. He also scored big when his range of tees emblazoned with the hashtag sold out. HHP and Euphonik saw these events as a business opportunity, but for others, like Ntsiki and Bonang, there’s value that comes from trending online. After all, there’s no such thing as bad publicity, right? ■ 67

crush literally releases more dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin into your system than Prozac ever could. Fact. It’s a drug like no other. I read a study about how having a crush increases productivity at work… However, there’s another study that shows break-ups increase productivity even more than a crush does, as work becomes a distraction. Are you seeing what I’m alluding to here? Are you picking up what I’m putting down?
Bafwets, contrary to popular belief, the melodrama of the crush and all its phases are necessary to get through life! Hlonipha i-life boy! (Respect life, boy – it was a Mandoza song – never mind, it’s ironic.) If you want to add a little extra spice to life, crush on someone at work! I’m fully aware that office policy doesn’t favour this behaviour – but let me just tell you a little secret of my own… I, Nina, have an office crush. It literally makes life worth living when I go to work. There are days when the moon is full, and I haven’t slept, and I want to lash out at people and be a diva, but then I see those doe-eyes of his, staring at me across the table, and I rethink my incipient behaviour. I collect myself, and put my best (red-soled) foot forward instead. Now, whether or not I act on the crush, which I guess only time will tell, I’m looking forward to the breakup productivity. Just imagine how much work I’ll get done then! ■

I went on a tourist trip to Dubai with a bunch of local personalities to watch the Sevens rugby tournament. It was the experience of a lifetime.
When was the last time you were really embarrassed?
Recently, when I was in front of my dad, my mom and my girlfriend, and my pops randomly asked if, by any chance, I had a condom. He needed one to wrap up his phone when he went deep-sea fishing the next day.

Who do you miss the most right now?
Right at this moment, I’m missing my ex-business partner and good friend, as he emigrated to Spain earlier this year. And I miss my gran – she lives in Cape Town, so I hardly get to see her. She’s in her 90s. We always do the crossword together. [Laughs.]
What are the best lessons that you’ve learnt from other people?
What’s the one thing from your past that you wish you could delete from the internet?
A random dude once told me: “Never suck… Always be good.” But the best one must be my dad’s lesson: that as long as you know the boundaries, you can go full speed ahead and still maintain direct progress.

‘After a one-hour flight from Valencia, Spain while on holiday in Europe, I found myself in the world’s party capital,’ says Grazia senior designer Michelle Cory (pictured). ‘A friend I was staying with in the third-largest Spanish city had WhatsApped me to “politely” ask if I’d join her and her DJ boyfriend, who was playing at a gig in Ibiza. I “politely screamed” yes!’ Here are my top island tips...’

Visit Es Vedra
This was the first thing we did when we arrived. The uninhabited rock island is 400m high, made of limestone and situated 2km off the west coast of Ibiza. This gigantic monolith is surrounded by myths, and to prove how special it is, all navigational instruments supposedly go haywire in its vicinity. Plus it’s the perfect lookout point for sunset drinks and a picnic with friends, before you go out partying…

Have lunch at Yemanja
Yemanja and Blue Marlin (they are neighbours) specialise in day-tonight beach-club dining, where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner with the sand between your toes and cool music in the background. I ordered the most delicious salmon and Camembert cheese salad, with a glass (or two) of white wine. The view of the Mediterranean sea is unforgettable. After lunch, we booked a lounger (the best spots go quickly) on the beachfront, with nothing between us and the sea.

Party at a club
I was one of the few lucky people to experience an Elrow party at Space Ibiza the weekend before it closed. It was one of the oldest and largest clubs in Ibiza, so it was hands-down the most insane party I have ever been to, from the hired flash mob that fills the dance floor wearing the craziest outfits to the very best of electronic music. My friend’s boyfriend played at the main stage at 1am, so I got access to the back entrances as part of his “crew”. If you have to wait in line for any of the main clubs in Ibiza, make sure to allocate about two hours and go for pre-drinks – as alcohol inside is really pricy (R300 for two tequilas).

This is one of the most beautiful turquoise bays on the island. I enjoyed my last lazy lunch at Ashram, where we listened to laid-back tunes from the inhouse DJ. I ended my adventure with one last swim in the Mediterranean and an ice cream before heading back to the airport. 75

THE LONG, LONG DUNK. Adventurous Brit Simon Berry, 24, set a new Guinness World Record with his stunt in Berkshire, when he bungee-jumped from the dizzying height of more than 70 metres and managed to dunk his chocolate digestive in a cup of tea at full stretch. Simon was one of more than 600 000 people trying to break records around the globe on the annual Guinness World Records Day.
Why has no one thought of this before? Librotigglia – combining the Italian words for “book” and “bottle” – is a new wine concept from Italian winery Matteo Correggia, in collaboration with design agency Reverse Innovation. Their unique gimmick? Printing a short story (in Italian, for now) on the label, so you can enjoy literary pleasures while consuming the contents!
