KIPHIRE/DIMAPUR, FEB 28 (NPN): After polling concluded on February 27, sporadic incidents of violence were reported from across Nagaland on Tuesday. Reacting to the postpoll violence, the state government suspended mobile internet services in Kiphire district, while the district administration at Longleng imposed curfew in Longleng town apprehending breakdown of law and order.
At least three youths and one IRBn jawan were injured when supporters of a candidate demanding re-poll in some polling stations in Kiphire district confronted the IRB personnel near DC office at Kiphire town. NDPP grateful to electorates

(NPN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the electorates of Nagaland for coming forward and exercising their universal adult franchise to vote for their respective candidates in the recently concluded State Assembly elections 2023.
In a communique, NDPP media & communication committee said that the State witnessed a record voter turnout of 84.69%, which demonstrates the peoples belief in democracy and the democratic process of choosing their leaders.
Kohima traffic advisory for Mar 2

(NPN): In view of the counting of votes scheduled on March 2, Kohima police has issued traffic advisory and earmarked certain locations as no entry and no parking zones.
In a press note, PRO Kohima police informed that Phoolbari “Y” Junction to DC office and 1st Assam Rifles (AR) Junction” have been declared as no entry and no parking zones.
Any obstructing vehicles found in mentioned stretch would be towed as per the provisions of Sections 201 Motor Vehicle Act, and charges to be borne by the vehicle owners. Kohima Police has appealed and sought the cooperation of all for a smooth counting day.
