Until recently, each project selected here was still distant from what can be considered a physical building. I will call this condition Before Building. At this moment, before the project turn into a building, The reflecting on the the past works is in order to capture the trajectory
Before Building
along which a physical space will come into being. (This is not to prove the necessity of a building to be, but to return from the anxiety and compromise to the fundamental state of spatial practice.) This mood is both logical and sensational, projective and critical, experimental and practical... Above all, I’ve been involded in creating a series of material works to discover, explore, capture, and challenge the edge of space, whether it is physical or virtual.
