CONCEPT

Gate no-2 is the only gate used for Entry/Exit out of the 3 gates for the general public.

CONSTRUCTED AREA Remaining white space is for movement and landscape.

The idea is to create the overall space more inviting and lively. Also introduce active and segregated corners in the gallery such as a lobby, orientation space and a library. We wish to design it in a way that the gallery becomes a type of journey for the visitors and none of the spaces remains unexplored. We aim to design the gallery keeping in mind the standards of a National Gallery and by dividing it in a way in which a specific purpose is fulfilled. PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN

A lobby has been created to connect the overall space with the food kiosk. The lobby also has the entrance to screen-2. Keeping the fact in mind that the screen is not visible under the sun due to its reflection, a jali in the ceiling has been installed to keep it partially open.

Jali on the ceiling

Screen-2 will only showcase horror movies as it is located deep inside the boali. Thus, help in creating an appropriate ambience. As soon as we enter from the grand entrance, we see the screen-1 in front of us which showcases movies of comedy/action genres. Also, it follows the same concept of partial open A small food counter has been given at ceiling through a jali. the end of Aa dehkle zra for the people To have mid break snacks. WET AREA REDESIGN : KITCHEN CAD DRAWINGS

DESIGN BRIEF The look and feel of the kitchen had to be stated which describes our client(mother) the best. Look/feel : Use of light colours which makes the place look more spacious. Simple and white lighting which can be enough and efficient for working. A sense of space and luxury can be represented through fixtures and textures . Neatly in order placed cabinets for storage purpose. Fixture: Modern fixtures. Everything should be easily accessible. A little sitting space/a breakfast counter. The design brief helped me in developing an idea on the look and space which i wish to create for my client.

PARTITION DESIGN DESIGN BRIEF Design a Partition cum display system and a storage system between drawing room and the dining.

DESIGN STRATEGY ENTRY AND EXIT Entrance and exit to the building should be easily accessible and clearly visible from the road. Whether it is the administration areas, meditation hall or the recreation rooms; it should be located near the main building entrance so that members do not have to travel much. RAMPS Ramps have to provided which will help elderly persons with walkers or wheel chair to enter or exit from the building. PASSAGES: Passages should have a continuing surface and should be wide enough to allow a person to pass a wheel chair. Use of railings along the passages and corridors in the building as well as pathways in gardens and parks would be beneficial for the elders. LAYOUT OF THE BUILDING: Building has to be well lighted and ventilated. The layout or planning of spaces in the building should be simple and obvious to help elderly in finding their way around as most of them can be affected by shrinking memory.
