System Administration (UNIX)
UNIX is one of the first few operating systems that was used several decades ago. This is a stable, robust and easy to administer Operating System (OS). But, there are not many professionals who are skilled in this area in the IT market. This is due to the introduction of Windows that took place over the past 17 years. Thus, not many of them were trained in this OS environment. Today, many companies are migrating to Linux from other OS and this has increased the demand for UNIX and Linux while the supply is less. Keeping this in mind 6 years ago we started developing a program that involves UNIX / Linux related modules. As we expected, this area is in high demand now and most of our students who complete this program have been securing $85K to $95K jobs within 10 months from the start date of their training! Surprisingly, a majority of our students were business graduates who were new to IT. But they all had one main thing in common ‒ they were incredibly motivated and determined to attain this knowledge and reap the successes of it. You can do this too!

I also got 3 job offers and accepted a job in a reputable bank as a Solaris System Administrator enjoying a very comfortable return for my efforts. Thanks! William Tsoi, BMO
Diploma in System Administration with UNIX: I would highly recommend Canadian College for Higher Studies to anyone who is looking to secure their future. I was taught by talented teachers who are up to date on current technologies. The school’s approach was not cookie cutter textbook like the rest of the colleges. Instead, they focused on what is being used in the market and in demand today. Smaller class sizes meant more personal attention. I got a high paying job within weeks of applying and now have been offered a position with a global technology leader in Silicon Valley. Thanks! Paul Sandhu, Google SAP: I had a chance to study at Canadian College for Higher Studies institute Scarborough campus and I literally found the staff very helpful and responsive.
