MISS BLACK EMPOWERMENT & MR. BLACK LOUISIANA PRESENTS...THE WIZ COVID-19 affected so many people in 2020-2021. Although it limited and even altered our lives, it never stopped the will or power of The Royal Court of Miss Black Empowerment and Mr. Black Louisiana to continue to EMPOWER, ENHANCE, ENCOURAGE, OR EDUCATE OUR PEOPLE. Over the past year and a half we have had the opportunity to do different and be different. Because of those differences, we were able to serve more people. Our KIngs and Queens work tirelessly to be the change we want to see and need. Their daily motivation and dedication is admirable and I applaud their many sacrifices made.
As the director it is my job to provide full support, unlimited inspiration and unconditional love, but this Royal Court has done this for me and so much more. Their individual struggles turned into enormous strengths, and their individual trials turned into powerful testimonies, but most of all, their unwavering faith turned into blessings after blessings. NOBODY GAVE UP OR GAVE IN. I pride myself in making sure that the kings, queens, mentors, staff, volunteers, and sponsors all feel loved like family. 2020-2021 proved that family is what you make it. This year’s Royal Court has built an unbreakable bond. How can we go out into our communities and empower, enhance, encourage, and educate them, if we don’t first do it amongst ourselves? We shouldn’t, and we don’t. We Pray Together! We Worship Together! We Serve Together! We Uplift One Another! We make sure that we are all mentally, physically and emotionally ok.
I would like to say “Thank You” to EVERYONE for their continued support even in the midst of a pandemic. God does everything for a reason, and I believe His reasoning for doing this, is so that people will love more, grow more, prosper in their purpose more, and know that WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST. We have worked hard to still be productive during this time, and although the pageant was postponed a few times, this is going to be the best yet! We hope that you enjoy our presentation of “THE WIZ”, as much as we have enjoyed presenting it. May God continue to bless you and keep you.
