2017-2020 | Hotel “Sorola village“, Karelia, Russia.

Building architecture and design.

The project consists of two floors and basement. At this project I demonstrated basic skills in architectural design and drawings. The building has panoramic windows and wooden facade. I was responsible for the whole outside design.

2019 | Summer Practice in Architectural Bureau “Rhizome Group“, SaintSaint-Petersburg, Russia.

Works: the sculpture park for hotel near Lužec; design for publishing of “Futura” restaurant; drawings of the furniture for bookstore project.

Arzamas. The University campus | 2019

It’s a small students’ “Elysium“, where every person has the place for efficient work and sources to invent new items. The main goal of this project was the renovation in the north-eastern district of the historical Arzamas city. Basicly, there were a huge number of industrial complexes and manufactures from the USSR. Now Arzamas has many sights and potential for redevelopment and rebirth. In my view the best option is new student campus.

The schemes of the renovation inside the campus.

The chaotical small houses are to be transformed into the regular and minimalistic buildings with wooden facades. Big panoramic windows let in private garden inside the rooms.

Two-floor buildings from the 40s are to get one extra storey with a huge windows. In addition, residents will have cozy balconies.

Five-storey panel and brick houses to be built for work and study. The unusual constructions will make roofs eyecatching. Also, all residents will have private balconies.

The prefabricated panel houses to be extended with huge spaces with roof gardens and working places. The arches are assosiated with a historical buildings in the city centre of Arzamas.

General plan of the district The map consist of the three principal areas. The first one is a park for sport and vacation.

Inside it we created some key places of attraction. For instance, the free-shape element is a walking road on the second level. Towns’ people will enjoy the panoramic view on the old exciting churches and houses. In the midle part it is feasible to place a quiet living areas, which are merged with a pedestrian main boulevard.

The right part is the main spot of this project. Nowadays, this area has a huge number of technological manufactures, which are relatively outdated. Our proposal was to rethink this block with a new students’ campus. The soviet industrial buildings are to be renovated with modern touches outside and inside. Students will have posibilities to study and have internship at working plant nearby. The are will also have bars and caffees for locals.

ĐĄoncept of the new urban planning

The professors’ houses and panorama of the educational district.

The represented illustrations show two districts in the project, where the first one is a quite living block with small houses for professors from the University. This area consist of two-three floors buildings, which are surrounded by renovated apartment buildings of five-six floors.

The second picture demonstrates the winter scenery with a panoramic view on the educational part. It is feasible to see renewed old soviet panel and brick buildings with modern elements. All of them include huge windows and bright superstructures, where students have halls for breaks between lectures. Between these buildings green spots with trees and pedestrian roads are located.

The most horrible periods in the history of the 20th Century were Ń losly related to dictatorship in different countries. One of it was in the USSR with bloody repressions under Stalin’s rule. Thousands of people were killed during these years for no particular reason. This project of The Museum of Repression is done to demostrate how it was to be a part of that time and how we can prevent it in the future.

Statistics The number of victims of repressions in the USSR scares. On this scheme one can see locations of the main Gulag camps from 1923 to 1964. According to researchers, total number of prisoners is about 21 millions. Every 12th of them died in the camps. People were killed for ther views. It is a huge blood stain on the history of the USSR.

The total number of prisoners is 20 839 633.

Search for the image and form

Person carrying a sack are associated with hard labor in the camps of GULAG.

Every life lost is a someones’ unique life that cannot be returned.

The fingerprint represents the idea.

The shape of the building is formed by three main volumes, which look like stones. This symbol implies the tough life in the camps.

Steel bars are like the weapons that killed the convicts.

In the buildings they are represented by the columns.

The Struggle A visitor goes inside. Firstly, the one sees dark space, where his mind is constained with feeling of fear. At every level his gaze will meet with steel powerful structures and rusty sheets. The way through the building is not simple, at every floor there will be photos and information about different camps, where people worked and tried to survive.

When visitor comes to the last floor, he sees panoramic view of the city and feels freedom.

The Shape.

The shape of the building is constructed to look like three huge stones laying on each other. The facade has huge metal sheets with holes from shots with bullets.

The Daugava river is a heart of the life and history of Riga. Today the embankment near it have a saturated traffic with uncomfortable public spaces. The project includes the huge research, which demonstates the stages of development of the architecture in the city centre and along the river. As a result of research methods of forming modern embankment were founded. And at the final stage I have created the concept for this space.

History of the embankment The represented scheme demonstrates historical-stylistic analysis of the architecture along the Daugava river and in the Riga’s city centre. The main idea was to draw attention to the differences between all old and new buildings by the new public space, which will include main features from all periods. In addition, it was important to find out how embankment looked like during all that periods.

The brick wall is located in the historical part, which reminds viewers of the previous medieval wall. Here visitors can start their way to the next modern parts of the embankment.

The complex shape of the elevated road has several ledges, where visitors can enjoy a panoramic views on the main sights of Riga. Every twenty meters people can leave the route.
