New content appears daily, Monday through Friday. 1851 guides its readers through franchise opportunities, information, insight and people. 1851 was created to fill a gap in coverage of the franchise industry by providing an online educational resource where readers find daily content from thought leaders, industry experts and entrepreneurs. Named for the year in which Singer Sewing Machines created the first franchised concept, 1851 likewise seeks to be first in franchising.
