‘Leaves of life’ a book of 100 selected scintillating poems by D. Brinda. It was published by Wordsbrew. Foreword is scripted by Dr. Randhir, Mr. M. Selvaraj, and Dr. Mahadevan . It is a perfect book to read and feel. I took a little more time to finish , it means to digest the full book of poems. poems are not stories. One poem is different from other. In my view I take enough time to understand the poem, enjoy the literal beauties inside and then feel the pleasure of the inner thought. So it is not an easy task just to read and review poems in a few days.Brinda is the admin of our WhatsApp group Creative writers group and she encourages the budding poets to write more poems. I have already read her poems and anthologies. But this collection is totally different. She has depicted different feeling in different phases well. Starting from Tropical summer all the poems chills our heart. For example in her fourth poem 'The day when I disclose my past’ “Gone are those days with disrupted sleep, Feeling irksome and pain in heart" They are really touching as well as shows a detailed expression about the past. In the15th poem the simple treasures of life "For some person it may seems simple, but they are treasures like dimple" Simple family life happiness expressed well. In another poem her verses too felt sad about her mom. Taking break in between the hard day work gives the energy to carry back shows the attitude she follows to shine in between her tight schedule. The poem Crystal clear shows her responsibility as a citizen. Are you happy inside and leave me alone are written well? She has Expressed the feelings in depth. Every poem has to be personally reviewed in detail. But shortage of time I selected few and give it to you in brief. I enjoy all the verses. Expecting more scintillating thoughts from Brinda Best wishes mam.
