FINAL PROJECT
The Pioneers Of ce type An Architect's Studio
Site Location: Residential area of Ashok Vihar, New Delhi
Total area 4500 sq. feet inclusive of 3 oors basement ground oor rst oor
Softwares used AutoCAD for 2D Google Sketch up with Shaderlight and twilight Plug-ins for 3D
“Where design and logic meets innovation
The Pioneers tells a story about an of ce that believes in team spirit, creativity and innovation. The idea is to create a space which makes you feel connected the rst time you enter the of ce, along with the contemporary design ideas which were the demand of the client. Layout planning and the implementation of design, circles around the concept of growth, which is symbolized by a dot turning into a line, forming a shape and then further generating a form. The site selected has three oors basement, ground oor and rst oor. The concept is to con ne all the of ce activities to the ground oor which is a mix of private and public areas for the outsiders; a library area with private cubicles in the basement making it a private area to be used only by the staff members; and provide a bedroom and a gathering hall for private parties of the boss on the rst oor which is accessible more by the boss than the staff members. The space designed promotes the idea of an open plan of ce which encourages interaction and ow of ideas. Though, there is a hierarchy inside the space but that is not visible in the layout of the of ce, so as to promote equality and a harmony in the working environment.
Site Analysis
Site description
The site
Orientation The site is south facing with a huge park in front of it, which helps in keeping the atmosphere fresh (thermally as well as visually)
Acoustic phenomenon The front part of the house is very noisy as it is a residential area and there are pedestrians walking by all day long and also there is a huge park in front of the site which adds to the noise level whereas that at the service lane is much lower

GROUP PROJECT
Uday Foundation This was done in a group with: Sanjana Gosain Chhavi Sharma Nancy Behal
My role My role in the group was to discuss and nalize the concept and planning and executing the working drawings.
Of ce type NGO
Site Location: MG road, New Delhi
Total area 2385 sq. feet
Softwares used AutoCAD for 2D drawings Google Sketch up with Kerkythea plug-in for 3D renders
“ Health with dignity
Uday foundation is an NGO that provides support services to the children af icted with congenital defects, critical disorders and diseases that affect their health condition, education and growth. So the idea for designing this of ce was to create a space which has a low budget constraint, is sustainable, shows hierarchy and has high productivity. The space designed promotes the idea of a closed plan of ce which encourages productivity and working in isolation. There is a strict hierarchy inside the space which is also evident the layout of the of ce.

RESTAURANT DESIGN
Italian Restaurant This was done in a group with: Sanjana Gosain Chhavi Sharma Nancy Behal My role My role in the group was to discuss and nalise the concept and planning and executing the working drawings.
Restaurant type Continental restaurant
Total area 1650 sq. feet
Softwares used AutoCAD for 2D drawings Google Sketch up with Kerkythea plug-in for 3D renders
This restaurant has elements of Italian architecture which emphasizes more on open space that allows ow of natural light and air. Also, There s an integration of interior spaces with exterior spaces through the use of glass walls. This restaurant has elements like arches, columns and niches that adds dimension to an interior space and also gives an essence of classic interior design.

HERITAGE RETROFIT PROJECT
Khirki Mosque This was done in a group with: Sanjana Gosain Chhavi Sharma Nancy Behal My role My role in the group was planning and conceptualizing the whole space and to focus upon its presentation
Activities Handled Exhibition and crafts area
Softwares used AutoCAD for 2D drawings Google Sketch up with Kerkythea
plug-in for 3D renders Photoshop for presentation drawings
The symmetrically designed admirable mosque is considered as one of the nest architectural compositions of the Sultunate historty . It is a two story building. There used to be a tehkhana or a cellar on the ground oor, probably built to escape the summer heat and the oor above was for prayers. The mosque is roofed over with four openings to let in light and has 89 domes. This feature and the fact that it is the only mosque that is fully roofed over, gives it its ubique architectural value. The idea of this project was to accomodate four activities inside the space namely - exhibition area, crafts area, a creche and a library . The basis strategy behind designing the space was to enhance the existing architecture and not disturb the essence of the space.
EXHIBITION AND CRAFTS CENTER
LIBRARY
NORTH
The basic idea is to utilize the Mihrab wall in an activity which doesn t require direct day light coming in. The exhibition space meets this requirement.
EAST
WEST
SOUTH
Crafts and exhibition have been collaborated yet they have their own distinct identities. The remaining two courtyards have been allotted to the crafts centre for the purpose of displaying crafts in one courtyard and crafts activities such as pottery, weaving etc in the other.
CRECHE Legend Crafts center Library Exhibition space Creche Circulation space Array of nine domes
Since the south eastern corner enjoys moderate climate throughout the year, it is best suited for the crèche. Provision given in design for both indoor and Outdoor(courtyard) play zone for children. The design proposes a dual access(east and south) to the crèche allowing residents in close vicinity to utilize the facility regularly
This space has been designed in the north eastern corner of the mosque, reason being there are broken domes which allow maximum day light to penetrate and also the presence of windows on both the sides serve as a boon. This minimizes the need for excessive arti cial lighting in the library. The design ful lls the requirement of having an open courtyard to this space which can be put to use for outdoor reading and tea/coffee catering services.

Furniture layout of Exhibition and crafts center
FIG. 1 The two courtyards were proposed to be covered with waterproof tensile fabric half of which would be opaque and the other half to be translucent, so that it allows natural light to come in. One of the courtyards had been proposed to be used as the activity area where the crafts activities would be performed, so that the visitors can experience and learn about the beauty of Indian crafts and the other one is to be used to display those products

Electrical layout of a oor of a tower of the society
Mr. Jatia's Residence This was a residential project wherein the furniture layout had already been done and my job was to plan and decide upon the electrical drawing as per the client's needs and lifestyle.
Mr. G.P. Singh's Basement layout This was one interesting project where the client wanted his basement to have recreational activities for all age groups as well as a party area and storage area. Therefore, the basement had enough store rooms, a snooker room, bar area, a drawing room and a room with home theater system. My job in this project was to plan the furniture layout and allocate these activities in the best way possible and decide upon the RCP and electrical layout of the same oor.
TOILET LAYOUTS
Mr. G.P. Singh's Toilet layouts Planning toilet's layouts and ttings and xtures were a part of the client's residential project. My role in this project was to plan the layout of the toilets and decide upon the ttings and xtures as per client's demands and make a presentation drawing of the same specifying each detail.
My next task was to make the elevations of the same toilets with the each and every detail - space dimensions, ttings and xtures' placement dimensions and model no. of the ttings and xtures. These plannings and drawings were done for three oors with three toilets on each oor. (The drawings shown here are only of the rst oor)
