Kids in Action Day Camp-(KIA)

The Harward Rec Center Kids in Action Day camp program is a great way to keep your kids active when school is out. Kids in Action gets your kids moving in a supervised, safe environment. Kindergarten through fifth graders stay actively engaged before and after school, or full day care is available according to the Nampa schools’ schedule, please see Day Camp calendar. Transportation is included to and from any Nampa public school, with additional $1 charge. No commitment, you only pay for the days you register for and credits are issued when your plans change, if you call by 7pm the day before. A $5 late fee will be charged if your child has not been paid for by the end of the day of attendance. Call 208-468-5858 for more information or to set up a tour to see for yourself. Snack and Lunch

Snacks are provided for program participants. Parents must provide their children with a lunch for the Full-Day program. Parents may choose to purchase a lunch through the Rec Center. Meal is provided by either Subway or Pizza Hut. Cost is $3.50/lunch, $16/5-punch card, or $30/10-punch card.

Lock In for Kids

Sponsored by Domino’s Pizza Stay locked in at the Harward Rec Center all night and enjoy movies, swimming, games, and a pizza party. Male and female supervisors will be with the children all night. Children should bring a sleeping bag, swimsuit, towel, and clothes to sleep in. Lock in Guidelines

• Parents or legal guardian must register child(ren) for the event. • Parents must check child in with staff upon arrival. • Register by 7pm the day before the event to avoid a $5 late fee. • Children must be picked up by 8am the next morning. • $5 late fee applies each 1/2 hour after 8:05am. • Vending machines will NOT be available after 10pm. Please no energy drinks.

ABRAKADOODLE – Kids on Canvas®

A unique art program that teaches children about painting on a variety of canvas surfaces with acrylics. Canvas paper, canvas board and stretched canvas will be used. Master artists, such as Renoir, Laurel CANCELLED Burch and Sam Francis will be introduced, along with vocabulary and technique. American Red Cross Babysitter Training

In this one-day class learn information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents and guardians. Course includes handbook, Emergency Reference Guide and CD with fun activities and support resources. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Red Cross Babysitter Training certification card. Please bring a sack lunch. Munchin’ Munchkins

Join this toddler cooking class! Classes will include instruction, hands-on experience measuring, pouring, mixing, cutting, and creating fun foods to eat. E-Sports: Tournaments

Join us for our E-Sports (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros Ultimate) Nintendo Switch tournaments series. Although competitive in nature, this tournament series is meant to be fun for all ages and will no doubt have many levels of skill present. Tournaments will be double elimination with pool play to determine seeding. Winner will receive a prize.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart will be 150 cc, Smart Steering and Auto Acceleration will be turned off, and no CPU’s.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Super Smash Bros Ultimate will have a 7-minute time limit with 3 stocks per game. Contact for additional rules and stages. Harward Rec Center Preschool

Early childhood education is the first building block for a lifetime love of learning! Preschool classes at the Harward Rec Center are offered for ages 3 and 4. Junior Master Gardener Adventures

Nampa Recreation Department has partnered with The University of Idaho Extension 4H for this Outside the Box Junior Master Gardener Adventure. Explorers of the Deep

Nampa Recreation Department has partnered with The University of Idaho Extension 4H for this Outside the Box Explorers of the Deep. SPIKE LEGO & Donuts!

LEGO bricks and donuts? Life doesn’t get any better! Enjoy a provided donut while we check out this new and fun way to combine your love of LEGO with easy coding. SPIKE has colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch. SPIKE Prime will engage kiddos through playful learning activities like LEGO Break Dancer, Robotic Arm or Racing Car. These activities and more will having kids thinking critically and solving complex problems, regardless of their learning level. LEGO Animation

Come create and build a mini movie set out of LEGO bricks, minifigures and anything else to help create your own animated movie! Children will use technology to make that perfect LEGO animated movie with complete editing capabilities, effects, music, and narration all through iMovie and Stop Motion. Children will be paired up in this class so that filming and editing can all be done through timely and efficient teamwork. Soccer Tykes

These youth soccer classes are designed to encourage a sense of empowerment and self confidence in kids using a variety of fun soccer enriched games. The skilled instructors will use their experience at collegiate and professional level to aid athletes in being ready to perform at their highest potential. Some parent participation during class will be required. The Big Dill Pickleball Spring Break Camp

The world’s fastest-growing sport is now a spring break camp your kids will love. Pickleball has been described as a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. Day campers are taught the fundamentals of serving and receiving the ball, volleying, dinking, positioning, and scoring.
