01 馬爾地夫像一串潔白的珍珠，散落 在深藍色的印度洋，由26個環礁所 組成，婆娑倒映的椰影、波光粼粼 的海面、閃耀著白光的潔淨沙灘、 在淺海美麗的珊瑚間，環繞著色彩 豐艷的熱帶魚群。

Maldives is such as a string of white pearls scattered in the deep blue Indian Ocean. It composed by 26 atolls with swaying shadow of coconut, sparkling and reflecting sea, shining white clean beaches and beautiful coral under shallow water. Most impotant is that it surrounded by plenty of tropical fish.
首都馬列是整個國家的行政中心，同時也是重要的交通樞紐，機場及重 點港口都位於馬列島上。 Capital Male is the administrative center of the country, and also an important transporting hub. The airport and key ports are located on it.
馬爾地夫是回教國家，居民每天都會向著東北方的麥加朝拜。 Maldives is a Muslim country. The residents make obeisance northeast toward Mecca every day.
擁有天然的地景，觀光業自然是首要收入，同時由於島群散落的原因， 多採一島一旅館。 Maldives has a natural landscape, as a result tourism is the primary income. Because of the dispersedness of the island, the configuration of the hotel often follow the rule "an island with a hotel".
馬爾地夫融合來自於古代世界各地的海上移民所帶來的豐富、多元的文 化，傳統音樂與舞蹈深受東非文化影響，如擊鼓與樂曲。 Maldives conbine the rich and diverse culture from the ancient maritime immigration all around the world. The traditional music and dance influenced by the East African cultural a lot, such as drumming and speacial music.

總觀而言，馬爾地夫缺少藝術機構，因此我想 要為充滿天然藝術氣息的珊瑚礁群島創造一個 藝術村，讓全世界各地的藝術家都可以進駐馬 爾地夫，並以當地的元素做為創作發想。 以環礁的型態仿自然地景，建構出一個環環相 扣卻又各自獨立的藝術村。 Overview, Maldives lacks for arts organizations, as a result I wanted to create an art village for the coral reef islands which is full of natural art atmosphere. In order to let artists from the world stationed in the Maldives, and use the local elements for the idea of the creation Use the atoll patterns to imitate the natural landscape, and construct an interlocking but independent art village.
