1. For-Sale-By-Owner vs Real Estate Agents...
With for-sale-by-owner your home is exposed to buyers seeing a newspaper ad, Craigslist, and anyone driving by. If you LIST with a real estate agent, you’ll be exposed to their entire pool of buyers. More importantly, you’ll be in the MLS®, or Multiple Listing Service, database. Agents are equipped to handle all the details for a smooth sales transaction.
2. A Real Estate Agent Can Sell Any Property On MLS®...
Many people think they have to contact the listing agent thereby having many different agents showing them properties. This is not effective. An agent from any company can show or make an offer on any property listed on the MLS® system even if it’s listed through another company.
3. A Real Estate Agents Knows How To Properly Price Your Home...
Your home cannot be accurately priced based on the home for sale next door. Agents have access to the MLS®, a database of all the properties in a given area that have been listed “for sale,” are in process of being sold (pending) or have already sold. To determine your house value, they find homes similar in size, condition, and location from recent sales figures.
4. Real Estate Agents Are Not Overpaid...
Everyday a real estate professional wakes up, they are unemployed until someone hires them to sell their home or help them buy a home. All they have to offer is time and expertise. The only time a real estate professional gets paid is after a deal closes and then the broker and agent share the commission based on a predetermined split.
5. All Real Estate Agents Are Not The Same...
Different Brokerages have different work programs, criteria and work ethics. All Agents work differently. It’s a full time job for those that go that extra mile to make sure their client is happy and kept up to date on all aspects of their listing or sale.
