Symptoms of Teenage Drug Abuse The harsh truth about drug abuse is that it victimizes anybody who gets close to it whether they are teenagers or adults and getting out of it becomes almost impossible. Drugs prey on people who have low self-esteem and when, people are at their lowest, it plays with their mind and overtime, using it becomes a habit. Teenage drug abuse is different from adults using drugs, because teenagers are rebellious and hard to control and when they are under the influence, it becomes all the more difficult to get them help. Normally a substance abuse rehab and alcohol rehab helps to bring these people back to life, but their willingness is necessary, without which they do not stand a chance of getting through. What some parents do not understand is that there are some symptoms that are a sign of drug and alcohol abuse that they usually chalk it up to ‘teenage issues’. These symptoms are divided in to two categories, which are behavioral and physical signs.
