Your pets require their fluids from their foods and canned food can supply your pets the higher fluid content that the dry food does not. A normal myth goes around that canned food is highly processed. But, compared to kibbles, canned food is less processed. Moreover, the belief that kibbles are good for dental health does not go well. On the contrary, giving your dogs healthy chews such as raw bones (not raw hide) is what will help in keeping their teeth strong and gums healthy. Usually pet owners relate weight gain of their pets with canned food, but this totally depends on which canned food you are feeding. There are few wet foods that come with huge amount of carbohydrates normally responsible for weight gain.
