A soothing alikeness can be found as the creek is storm and rough, quiet and still, dark and moody; each state mirroring a place within oneself. Where the waters do agree, its gentle perpetual voice lures us into a mildly meditative state of calm focus and awareness. Further re flecting the ways of the stream, les sons of acceptance and restoration emerge; encompassing the will to go without pretense and to reach the destination as no one but our selves. To move graciously with the current of life despite obstacles like rocks that attempt to break the form. Water is patient. Its fall wears away stone, not because of its power but its persistence. Ultimately, the expe riences within ‘place’ in relation to the essence of water contribute to a stable sense of self and healing. Through light we make sense our surroundings. It defines the behaviour of all earths living creatures, large and small.

Basking in the sun’s rays we find wonder and enchantment, invoking divine and scientific musings. For centuries our greatest minds pondered the mysteries of light and tried to capture its essence.

Light is a magic that captures our imaginations and shapes how we experience the environment around us. It is fundamental to experience which is how we ascribe meaning to space and make place out of landscape. It defines the behaviour of all earths living creatures, large and small. Light was brought to earth from the heavens by scientific enlightenment but is still worshiped with ardency as we arrange our lives around its coming and going.
