From sensibility to sense: It's the only piece of works at that time left. Named after Italo Calvino's book. I used to spend half a year in the fine arts group in my high school. Without any prior training in sketches, we learnt how to paint in this way-imaging space in our minds and then presenting it on paper. I think that's when I fell in love with art in modern form.
This is the step that every designer won't miss. When presenting the real world in an objective way, one singular prototype can derive countless possibilities. Po i n t s , l i n e s , s u r f a c e s a re s i m p l e to c re a te y e t complicated to control.

Color can be the indicator of one's heart. Which was deeply understood for my own, when realizing that all the pictures of mine include rose bengal in some degree. The process of waiting for the unknown final work is a exciting experience just like living a life in a way full of unexpected incidents. Sometimes, we can find out brand new parts of self by color expression, see a world in a total different aspect.

"Personal" is an emotional painting I sketched for my family. My grandmother went through a big operation to replace her knees. Then, my little sister helped her do the gesture V. I was moved by that scene and can't stop myself to memorize it by my painting brush. As we become more and more impersonal when growing up, I appreciate that my brush would always be along with me to record a unique visual diary of my own.

壚 Learn from Vernacular Design of Daughter Village
Group Work Adviser: Professor Li Baofeng Enshi Grand Canyon, Hubei, China 2012---continuing
abstract
What should our building be when facing the grand canyon, surrounded by the local dwellings, on the steep slope? The collage above is inspired by Wu Guanzhong, Which shows us a image we can pursue. As a core member of this project, I followed it from the first field trip to nowadays' construction adjustment on-site. The next few pages will show what is my understanding of the vernacular revival, and from the site research to the detail research is the results of my own working part.

Enshi Grand Canyon is famous for its magnificent precipice . The Project: Daughter Village (named after a local fete ) was developed to be a tourism distributing center (accommodation, dining, shopping, and etc). And there is no any flat ground on the site, just like very close part Chongqing.

Enshi is a minority autonomous prefecture, where still living a large amount of minority, like the Tujia.
Comparing the near cities on the mountain like Chongqing, what difference can we make when facing the slope.
Therefore, the local elements in Enshhi is distinctive. the name of our project just follow one of its wellknown fete. We research the activities happened in the typical local space there, and apply them to the possibilities of our function arrangement in the tourism distributing center .

According to the planning, we get relatively ideal result of the site's possibility. Then for the proposal of the project clients as well as the result itself shows the large composition of points type like stilted building. Since we try to make the space between the building and mountain friendly, our study scope should narrow down from the whole site to a residential cluster.

č´° unearth the fading land Design of the Community Center
Individual Work Zhengzhou, Henan, China 2013
abstract
Urbanization in China went too fast to get enough thinking about reasons of expansion. And there is absolutely something we lost in that, and something deserving protection in that. When this happened in Zhengzhou, I try to reshape the texture of the site, which had been wiped out by construction over it. And the once existed Pit dwelling memory there evokes me a way to unearth the fading land. The concept of a Sunken Square Gradually become clear......

ĺ? activate after the Tsunami Refresh the Broken Seawall
Competition Work Kojirahama, Iwate, Japan 2011
abstract
When the tsunami destroyed the safe guard of the fishing port Kojirahama in 2011, What can architects do with the broken seawall? Just repair it or try do make a difference: create something new in demand at the same time? This design shows the consideration of the relationship between the development of local fishery and vitality of the local people's daily life. Being monumental and being functional !

Like so many of the villages along this coast in Japan, Kojirahama is located at the bottom of a steep ravine. The village is protected by a vertical wall 12.5 meters high with a 8.5-meter base, which was overtopped during the tsunami vent, seen in the photo above. The village was completely destroyed up to an elevation of 17.8 meters, and six eight-to-12 meter long sections of the massive wall were overturned. Reconstructions need to take place, and where it starts can find the way from history.

According to the research. The local Fishers' population has a problem of aging. And the tsunami make Koj i rahama's planning seem that it lacks some sort of cohesion. Then, how to make the reconstruction more meaningful, How to identify the new space to make it truly benefit the locals need more thinking.

3 travelogue By hand, By heart Images of my Pleasure Parts
On my way
I never stop recording my life, using my brush, especially during the trip. The following pictures present my memory of last winter in Europe as a Volunteer for Wuhan Engineering Exhibition. The old cities in their elegant classical atmosphere facilitate me with a more thorough and stereoscopic way of understanding this world. And their differences between each other make it more clear in my mind that the possibilities hiden in the diversities of Vernaculary. Therefore, it will really make a great difference to all of my designs in long term. There's another interesting part in it: I met my boyfriend, a person showed me a world I've never know, at this journey. We began at Roma, When failed to go inside the Tempietto, we received a gift from Gianicolo hill: unexpected bird's-eye view of this Eternal City in the sunset. Also without a map in hand and, we crossed a long way in that foggy night and finally find the gate of I.U.A.V. which is designed by Carlo Scarpa. All of these do inspire me to experience more and ultimately, don't be afraid of disappointment. Just fight to achieve your goal, sometimes, there's no need to think what is over there waiting for you.

The higher you stand the further you will see, therefore the skylines of the mountains, rivers, cities are always something I seek to capture. Above all, they never fail to fascinates me by the general understanding I can get from only one single panorama. And it's my own way to study a city.
Some pictures seem ordinary to others, but special to yourself. It helps you memorize the people along with you when you taking this shot, and the sun, the architect, who give you chance to meet this moment. Everything outside the picture can be recorded, enriching your experience, allowing you to look back whenever and to learn from the past.
