These films were used for various applications like solar cell, sensor and so on. Various morphology of the thin film enhanced the efficiency of the sensor. These films were used for the ethanol gas sensor detection.

Sensor Response: The typical gas sensitivity for Ethanol was found to have oscillating behaviour. Various morphology were having less sensitivity. The Gas sensitivity obtained are presented. The saturation region is more for needle morphology of Mn doped ZnO thin films.
Application : Mn doped ZnO thin films are used in the fabrication of Sensors. Especially for the ethanol/methanol detection from the human being or from gas sources it is potential candidate. This poster says the various morphology of the films enhanced the efficiency of the particular applications Conclusion: For the better response of the ethanol sensor this morphology is one reason behind it. When the gas enters the film, length of the needle morphology helps to reach the end of the film. Because in this morphology there is no voids present. Fraction of time it responds depending on the amount of gas entered in to the system.
