RECYCLING CENTERS In our country more than 85,000 tons of trash are collected daily. Jalisco is the third entity in Mexico where more trash is produced. Although it has more recycling centers [25] than Mexico City [16] which produces more than the double of the amount of waste, only 11% of the trash is separated in Jalisco.
RECYCLING IN THE AREA Recycling centers in Guadalajara are high intensity industries, or collection centers lacking an architectural approach of accessibility and urban connection.
CITIZEN APATHY Not separating trash and throwing it away in streets and public spaces is normalized, since it’s the easiest option.

INTERWEAVING
PERCEPTION OF COLOR Color is an integral element of our world, not just in the natural environment but also in the man-made architectural environment. Hence, the project relies on color areas which represent one of the four subdivisions of the building into green, pink, blue or yellow. They help boost an interactive building and more attractive to the public. These colors are present through the building to help the user identify with ease the area they are searching for.
