“Although we have a good source of water, pupils and staff still have to carry water to their own classrooms for drinking and cleaning. This made the handwashing and tooth brushing facilities including most of the comfort rooms not operational.” said Vilma G. Abad, Principal of PCS.

The installation of the water pumps and water pipes started in the year 2020 however it was stopped due to the pandemic. “Finally, this year the pipes and faucets were now installed per building and in the classrooms. The officers and members of the Parent-Teacher Association of each grade level played a big role in the installation of the water system.” added Abad.

Pupils can now observe and enjoy handwashing practices and comfort rooms are now operational, also some classrooms have built-in washrooms.

“I am thankful that the water is now available for us to use.” said Wren, a Grade 5 pupil.
