PCS scribes join Journalism Training

To enhance their writing skills, 30 Grades 4-6 pupils of Paracelis Central School attended the School-Based Journalism Training on November 30 & December 8 at Paracelis Technical Vocational High School (PTVHS).

The first part of the journalism training was done on the 30th of November in which the participants were taught how to write Feature and Photojournalism. News Writing and Editorial Writing was conducted on the second part of the training.

“Journalism allows you to be aware of the community issues. This workshop develops the cognitive skills of budding journalists.” Zenaida S. Mablay said, one of the speakers and School Paper Adviser (SPA) of PTVHS.

News writing speaker Cristina M. Manayos emphasized that as student journalist, it is their responsibility to educate the community through fair and relevant information.

Other speakers of the training are speakers were Jannah Beth M. Pocyao, SPA of PCS, and Noreen F. Dangangao, English Teacher of PTVHS.
