Curb Records recording artist Lee Brice’s “One Of Them Girls” made history winning the Country Song Of The Year award at the BMI Awards and the SESAC Awards. The #1 song was also awarded the Country Song Of The Year award at the ASCAP Awards, marking the first time that one song has taken all three awards in the same year.

“What an incredible and unexpected honor!” said Brice. “It’s hard to tell when a song is going to resonate with folks the way this one has – I know I speak for myself, Ashley, Dallas and Ben when I say thank you to everyone who listened to and requested our song at Country radio and streamed it online. You all gave it a bigger life than we could have ever thought!”

IDOL NEWS:

American Idol Winner Laine Hardy is teaming up with Wild Wing Cafe, a Carolinas-born restaurant chain and Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit that champions music education in schools, for a six-market tour that kicks off in Warner Robins, GA on Dec. 2 and concludes in Wild Wing Cafe’s headquarters city of Charlotte, N.C. on Dec. 10. Other stops include: Anderson, SC (Dec. 4), Raleigh, NC (Dec. 6), Savannah, GA (Dec. 7) and Columbia, SC (Dec. 9).

“Growing up in a town with a population of 2000, our schools didn’t have much of a music education program so I had to figure it out on my own with the help of my family,” said 21-year-old Hardy. “It’s really important to me to help nurture the artists of tomorrow, giving back to my own schools and others through Little Kids Rock.”

In each market, during the day Laine will visit a Little Kids Rock partner school presenting musical instrument gifts and that night, perform a free concert including songs from his recently released debut album, Here’s To Anyone, at the local Wild Wing Cafe. McGuire, the sister trio of Caleigh, Kristen and Taylor McGuire who originally hail from Myrtle Beach, S.C have released a brand new song called “Lighthouse.” The hauntingly beautiful ballad is an ode to that special someone who anchors you during the most tumultuous times when the storms are raging about and all feels lost. The sibling harmonies perfectly complement the track about traversing the rough seas of life and how your partner offers that beacon of light to guide you through the darkness to safety and calmer waters. The imagery and lyrics in “Lighthouse,” written by Caleigh, Kristen and Taylor, were inspired by the time they spent on the water while growing up on the coast of South Carolina.

“It describes how at times we can feel like we are drowning in a storm of emotions and reactions, and how someone’s love can have the power to save us,” said Caleigh McGuire.

The striking new song is the latest from the talented trio, who have been performing together since their early teens. News updates at https://www.facebook.com/mcguiregirlsmusic.
