The National Garden Located next to the building of the Parliament, the National Garden is an oasis of the city where you can promenade, explore its flora and fauna and feed the ducks together with the Greek kids. 4. The Lycabettus Hill In the area of Kolonaki, is located the Lycabettus Hill, from which you will have a breathtaking view of Athens. You can take the cable car and enjoy this view, drinking coffee or eating in the luxurious restaurant that you will find on the top of the hill.
5. Athens Flea Market If you like to shop in small, traditional stores, the Flea Market in Monastiraki is a must. It reminds of the Bazaar in Turkey or the Middle East, but it is cleaner, and you have no doubts that you are in Europe.
6. The Numismatic Museum The Numismatic Museum houses one of the greatest collections of ancient and modern coins in the world. The museum is worth a visit not only due to this collection but also due to the old, impressive building, in which it is located. There is also a small coffeehouse in the garden where you will forget that you are in Athens.
7. Petralona This neighbourhood next to Thiseio is ideal if you want to relax and drink Ouzo or Raki in a traditional tavern together with the locals.
