Introduction AM GROUP is a Saudi investment holding group with diverse interests and established in 2004 with its head quarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. AM GROUP has a wide business that works and invests in many sectors such as (Automotive, Medicine and Technology). Also, AM GROUP works in sport industry including marketing and advertising. The group is considering a number of additional investments in Saudi Arabia and developing markets within the GCC and Globally. The company selects its investments based on the studies to be effective, so the company has formed a package of investments in many strategic sectors.

The AM GROUP graphic Identity guidelines provide a foundation for clear and consistent communication of the corporate identity. Adhering to common standards ensures that the AM GROUP correct name appears on all official AM GROUP communication. All mediums {Publications, websites, advertising signage, Business documentation} layout, color, and typography are orchestrated to impart a unified “signature�. This publication includes a description of the new logo and guidelines for its use including official colors and typefaces, as well as the appropriate use of the AM GROUP logo. The official policies and standards for the design of AM GROUP stationery, publications and other applications are also available within this graphic identity manual. The accompanying guidelines note specific uses to be followed by all members of the AM GROUP community.

Our new logo What is a Logo? “Logos are signs, marks of Identity designed for easy recognition.” - (Logo) book by Michael Evamy / Laurance king publishing.

“Should a logo be self-explanatory? It is only by association with a product, a service, a business, or a corporation that a logo takes on any real meaning. It derives its meaning and usefulness from the quality of that which it symbolizes. If a company is second rate, the logo will eventually be perceived as second rate. It is foolhardy to believe that a logo will do its job immediately, before an audience has been properly conditioned.” - Paul Rand

This brand guideline was built and launched in 2013, with the introduction of a new graphic signature {Logo}. The signature combines the initials of Ahmad Al Mugairin in (Monogram) in a powerful new typography, surrounded with an Islamic historic decoration {Arabesque} forming our corporate symbol. Also included within this signature is the new modern typeface of our wordmark “Ahmad Al Mugairin group” in both Arabic and English languages. This artistic combination represents modernity and our respect to our Arabic valuable history, presented in a simple, timeless, appropriate and clear design.

AM GROUP logo Wordmark and Symbol Our corporate has two primary Identifiers •

The corporate wordmark

The corporate wordmark consists of the company’s full name “AHMAD AL MUGAIRIN GROUP” in both English and Arabic languages. In the body text, the Initials “AM” should only be in English followed by a space then the word “GROUP”, treated as one unit- all caps.

e.g: AM GROUP has a wide business that works and invests in many sectors such as (Automotive, Medicine and Technology).

The corporate symbol

Our corporate symbol consists of the Initials “AM” with the word “GROUP” aligned to the bottom right of the monogram in capital letters. All elements are aligned in the center of a circle surrounded with Islamic decoration.

This symbol should be treated as one unit, the elements’ spacing and proportions are not to be altered or modified in anyway, however, the symbol could be separated from the wordmark as it represents the AM initials along with the word “Group”. Either Identifier can be used to represent the corporate. The wordmark and/ or symbol should appear on all our corporate affiliated publications.

Alternative structures Our new logo is designed perfectly in multiple configurations to accommodate a wide range of applications in both Arabic and English languages. Each configuration should be treated as one unit, the proportion and spacing of the elements should not be altered in anyway.

Logo proportions and clear space Our logo is a solid composition, all the proportions of elements and the distance between them is strictly defined. Compliance with these parameters is compulsory in all cases of reproducing the logo. The diagram shows the basic proportional ratio of elements. “X� equals the width of the horizontal space between the worrmark and the dark background of the wordmark. A minimum clear space requirement has been established to ensure the prominence and clarity of the AM GROUP signature.

To preserve the AM GROUP logo’s integrity, always maintain a minimum clear space around the logo. This clear space isolates the logo from competing graphic elements such as other logos, copy, photography or background patterns that may divert attention. The minimum clear space for the AM GROUP logo is defined as “2x” width and height (x value: as described previously). This minimum space should be maintained as the logo is proportionally enlarged or reduced in size.

Vertical bar clear space The vertical bar is an identity component of AM GROUP brand. It is used when the wordmark, or slogan, is placed on the right/ left of the symbol. Distance of the vertical line from the AM GROUP symbol should be “x”. The lower end of the line must be aligned with the baseline of the dark background of the wordmark as well as the upper end. Text to the right/ left of the vertical line visually must be removed from the vertical line as far as the line is moved from the logo. If the text is on one line, the baseline of the text must be visually aligned to the centre of the symbol and vertical bar.

The slogan should be maximum of 3 lines aligned to the center of the symbol and vertical bar.

Our corporate symbol is one of our corporate identifiers and it is as important as the AM GROUP signature. Misuses of the logo proportions and clear space Incorrect use of the AM GROUP logo compromises its integrity and effectiveness. The examples of logo misuse below are not comprehensive; they are only a small sample of possible misuses of the AM GROUP logo. To ensure correct, consistent reproduction of the AM GROUP logo, never alter, add to, or attempt to recreate it. Always use the approved digital artwork, available from attached CD or contact the AM GROUP offices.

Corporate colors Color psychology GOLD

SILVER

The color Gold stands for richness and prosperity. It is also a solid color and is mostly associated with the sign of health, endurance and cheerfulness in life. This color also represents prestige and is used to explain a certain high status.

Like the color Gold, color psychologists have also termed the silver color as a symbol of prestige. It is often termed as a color which represents dignity and practicality of a person / corporate. It has been observed that people who like to wear silver color are modest, persistent and reliable by nature. Silver also stands for peace and calm.

Gold is also linked with abundance and authority, wisdom and a deep understanding about things. This color fills you up with energy and inspires you. Not only this, the color gold is helpful in getting rid of fear and hesitation regarding certain ideas in your mind.

Gradients specifications

The main part of corporate identity elements is designed with corporate gradients. All gradients are created on the basis of the ÂŤLuxuryÂť. The diagram shows six types of existing gradients and their specifications. The use of gradients, with different parameters and colors is unacceptable!

Alternative color options The AM GROUP logo should be reproduced in color whenever possible. For specific color values to use when reproducing the logo (spot or PANTONEŽ, 4-color process, RGB), refer to the Color Index section page 17. Gray (5% black) is the most effective background on which to reproduce the color logo because it provides a clean, crisp contrast for the logo’s color and elements. If color reproduction is not available or is not a viable option, the logo should be reproduced in solid black or as a full-reverse in white out of a color background. When the AM GROUP logo is placed on a photographic image, the image behind the logo must be light enough to provide contrast for the positive logo or dark enough to provide contrast for the reverse logo.

Logo minimum sizes These dimensions are chosen for reasons of readability and are the minimum size at which individual elements of the logo are fully legible

It is necessary to adjust the minimum size of the logo, depending on the type of printing.

Use of the logo in a critically small size up to 16px and only as a favicon for the site AM GROUP or icons on any other resource, denoting AM GROUP service. Favicon (icon of AM GROUP web site is an integral component of AM GROUP brand identity. Favicon should be displayed by the browser in the address bar before the URL of the page, as well as a picture next to the bookmark, in inlays and other elements of interface requiring display the logo no bigger than 16 x 16 px

Typefaces and fonts Symbol & Wordmark typeface

The corporate symbol and wordmark typefaces were created as a specific artistic style to convey the personality and voice of the AM GROUP brand. The serif style in the corporate symbol was favored for its flowing quality and ability to render a balance and symmetry that is complementary to the AM GROUP symbol. In order to protect the integrity of our brand, typeface must never be altered or replaced by any other type.

Building signage When trying to determine the most appropriate sign type for a building application, the following should be taken into consideration: landlord and city/local restrictions, background materials and colors, visibility and lines of sight, building size, colors and sizes of other sign types in the vicinity, electrical hook-ups and availability and background material surface obstructions. The most preferable sign type is internally illuminated channel symbol as shown below, (image A and B). The preferred color is our corporate colors. A full logo (with word mark) sign cabinet can also be used if required or if the background does not allow for channel symbol (below, image C and D). Ideal placement of the sign type is outlined below. This placement can be altered if existing architectural elements demand such or if lines of sight and other obstructions limit visibility. On-site adjustments based on the location of stationary objects should play a major role in Signage placement; however, the proportions of the logo and clear space should never be altered or modified.
