University of Missouri-Kansas City On behalf of the Student Leadership Programs Knowledge Community (SLPKC) Leadership Team, we hope that you are getting excited for the NASPA Annual Conference in Philadelphia! The Annual Conference is always such a special time for the KC, as it gives us the opportunity to network and engage with our colleagues from around the globe. This NASPA Conference is especially significant this year, as it is NASPA’s 100th Anniversary, as well as our last conference as the SLPKC Co-Chairs. We have been so honored to serve as Co-Chairs throughout the 2016-2018 term. Some of the goals during our time as Co-Chairs included, but were not limited to: Increasing our online presence using social media and interactive features on the NASPA website. This includes an increase in our podcast and webinar offerings. Finding opportunities for more face-to-face interactions of SLPKC members, both regionally and during our National Convention. Ottawa, Canada. SOAR! provides student leaders with many unique opportunities to challenge themselves in new and meaningful ways outside of the classroom, learn how to be an effective leader, understand foundations and

theories about leadership and their potential as a leader, personal philosophy of leadership, and attend informative and interactive workshops on a variety of trends and topics. They follow one of four conference themes (Continued on page 3)
