About Us NASPA Knowledge Communities (KC) provide an opportunity for members to access information and resources in a specific subject matter that pertains to the student affairs profession as well as come together around common interests in ways that support the NASPA mission, vision, and goals. KC’s offer a structured organization for new and continuing members to confirm their commitment to and passion for the profession through their common interests.

Pre-Conference Team Plan and facilitate the submission of a 1/2 day workshop for the national conference.
SLP-KC Newsletter Editorial team needed to coordinate the call of article submissions in addition to the publication of the newsletter 2 to 3 times a year.
Webinar Speaker Series Assist in the recruitment of speakers for phone conference regarding various leadership topics.
Technology/Communications Maintain the SLP-KC website, blogs, discussion board, and social networking sites.
Sponsorship Outreach Initiatives Identify potential sponsors and donors for SLP-KC initiatives.
NASPA Special Events Coordinate SLP-KC meetings, GALA, breakfast or reception, etc. hosted at the national conference.
National/Regional Leadership Events Promotion Identify and promote leadership education events for students and educators.
The mission of the Student Leadership Programs (SLP) KC is to serve as a resource for higher education professionals who have a professional interest in young-adult (i.e. college students) leadership training, education, and development.
