Successful Peninsula Cleanup
Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped with the 25th Annual Nassau Bay Peninsula Cleanup on Saturday, February 27th! Almost 100 volunteers (biggest turnout ever!) walked through high grass, trekked through heavy brush, and scoured wetlands in search of trash. Some of the items pulled from the cleanup on the Peninsula included a treasure chest of bottles and cans, fishing lures, pieces of fence, tires, and a wide collection of balls of all sizes! An estimated 5,500 pounds of trash and debris was collected. Thank you cleanup volunteers!
