New Code Enforcement Tracking Map

Code Enforcement is integral to the City’s daily operations, and essential to enhancing quality of life by helping to sustain safe, healthy living conditions for residents and businesses in Nassau Bay.

A commonality among all municipalities is that they have buildings, homes, and properties that will age over time. In addition, communities struggle with vacant buildings, trash, tall grass and weeds, graffiti, and inoperable vehicles. Nassau Bay is no exception and our code enforcement officers manage these issues in a responsible and effective way. Nassau Bay's code enforcement team supports and enhances property values through effective enforcement of property standards, while working to keep aging buildings, homes, and properties from deteriorating and becoming “eyesores” to our City.

Communities with deteriorating properties may see an increase in crime rates and a decrease in property values. Ill-cared for residences and businesses contribute to poor community conditions. These conditions are not welcomed, and fighting blight is a top priority for Nassau Bay.

On Nassau Bay's website, residents can find a new map highlighting the most egregious properties, both commercial and residential. Residents will be able to see the code violations for each property listed, the action being taken, and the expected time period for remediation. This map is not intended to be a comprehensive list of code enforcement issues. For more information on the code enforcement tracking map, visit the City's website at www.nassaubay.com/CodeMap.
