Leadership Clear Lake Visits the Capitol

City Secretary Sandra Ham and Field Operator II Robert Villanueva visited the Texas State Capitol on February 12th and February 13th as part of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce's third biennial class of Leadership Clear Lake. The Leadership Clear Lake Program is designed to educate and equip the future leaders of our region by providing them with the skills they will need to excel.

Over the course of the trip, Sandra and Robert had the great opportunity to learn from Texas Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton and Texas General Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush. A special highlight included a private reception with Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Attendees also engaged with several of the area's local representatives, including Representative Dr. Greg Bonnen, District 24, Senator Larry Taylor, District 11, and Representative Dennis Paul, District 129. The final day included special introductions in the House and Senate Galleries.
