COUNCIL MEETING RECAP

APRIL 11, 2022 - REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

During the April 11 City Council meeting, Mayor Bob Warters and Nassau Bay Police Chief Tim Cromie presented a special proclamation in honor of Public Safety Telecommunicator Week.

• Received a Presentation on the City’s FY2022 Annual Budget Presentation, a digital-first budget book using the upgraded OpenGov ERP Cloud software.

• Received a Presentation on the City’s Tourism Goals and Objectives.

• Held a Public Hearing and approved an Order finding the residential structure located on 1302 Antigua, Nassau Bay, Texas 77058 to be in violation of the City’s Code of Ordinances, Chapter 214 of the Local Government Code, 2012 International Property Maintenance Code, and Chapter 54 of the Local Government Code, and requiring the owner of the residential structure to within 30 days repair, remove or demolish the residential structure.

• Received an update from the Infrastructure Committee and approved the designation of twenty-six (26) City streets for the street rehabilitation project, as well as the cost of engineering services associated with the project.

• Approved the purchase of a portable 6-inch pump to replace the existing out of service 1986 Gorman Rupp Portable Pump.

• Approved the terms and conditions to be set forth in an employment contract for the City Manager, and authorized the Mayor to execute said contract, as discussed in Executive Session.
