NBVFD Honors Department Members
NBVFD HONORS DEPARTMENT MEMBERS
The Nassau Bay Volunteer Fire Department celebrated their accomplishments at their annual banquet held at the Tom George Nassau Bay Fire and EMS Station on March 26. The following NBVFD members received special recognition for their 2021 accomplishments:
∙ Firefighter of the Year – Javon Thomas;
∙ Rookie Firefighter of the Year – Stevieray Edmonds;
∙ Medic of the Year – Greg Forrest;
∙ Administrative Officer of the Year – Javon Thomas;
∙ Line Officer of the Year – Glenn Blome; and
∙ Chief’s Coin Award for Special Service – Richard Guidetti and Rod Molyneau. The Top Responders for 2021 were: #1 – Javon Thomas; #2 – Tom George; and #3 – Bob Juillerat. The Ed Newton Scholarship Award was presented to 2022 recipients: Colby Dickerson, Abby Juillerat, Cody McCamy and Unique McCamy. Truck Captains Marshall Boyd and Bob Juillerat recognized several members for outstanding contributions to NBVFD operations. Members receiving special recognition were: Stevieray Edmonds, Kristopher Gaffey, Vic Studer and Javon Thomas. Special awards were also given to members in honor of their length of service to the NBVFD:
∙ One year – Stevieray Edmonds, Kristopher Gaffey, Dylan Price, Stephanie Vasquez
∙ Five years – Bradley Dearman, Greg Forrest, Cody McCamy
∙ Fifteen years – Javier Trujillo
∙ Twenty years – Roderick Molyneau
∙ Twenty-five years – Chuck Dickerson During the service awards, a special tribute was given to NBVFD founding member Michie Coldwell for 55 years of continual active service!
