Pr o fi l e About me My name is Nassim Ravaee and I’m currently a Co-op Architecture Technology student at George Brown College. Architecture for me is a combination of art and practical solutions. I love to develop design ideas and bring them to the real world. I am keen on connecting humans to nature and creating harmony with the environment. My goal is to reduce the impact of the building on our environment. This portfolio is a collection of my projects during my first two years of studies. I hope it demonstrates my skills and work style.

Extremely motivated to constantly develop my skills and grow professionally. I’m a Co-op Architectural Technology student at George Brown College. I have strong knowledge of computer software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dynamo, Enscape, Lumion, etc. I am a good team player and enjoy working as a group leader. As I am a motivated, reliable and forward-thinking person, I will add value to your company.

May 2021 - Dec 2021

After gaining knowledge in S chematic design and software programs like AutoCAD and Revit, at George Brown C ollege, I started working with a group of freelancers on Fiverr to acquire real-world experience. I provided 2D plans, elevations, and also 3D Models using Revit in small family house projects. I developed a professional attitude and time management skills. I also practiced working efficiently as a member of the team.

the building is arranged in a way that encourages exploration and provides natural benefits like proper sunlight, better wind circulation, and reduced noise pollution. the incorporation of an indoor/outdoor design with numerous hangout areas around the building helps with communication while still retaining aspects of an apartment complex that draws people to renting the place. the residents are expected to see neutral color schemes such as off whites, squash oranges, and lincoln greens. the design also includes liveliness from plants that will be scattered among the complex including green roofs that are designed efficiently to reduce energy use and help residents feel closer to nature.

the building houses a large open concept atrium and the main entrance area that feature large sections of glass and provide residents vertical access. the two feature entrances accommodate numerous amenity spaces for occupants like a fitness room, a games room, a party area, a meeting room, and a dog wash area among many other communal recreational spaces ready for use by the occupants. security services are available 24/7 on-site by the lobby so residents can feel protected during their stay. whilst the apartment decor scheme is primarily a clean and crisp white backdrop, colorful accents of orange, blue and green create a ripple in the calm setting. the units feature a stylish living/dining room combo, a large dining kitchen with a breakfast table, and an island bar. the units range from a single-bed bachelor apartment to three luxurious modern bedroom units with inspirational marble bathroom designs for young families and seniors alike.

Dynamo Projects

Date: June 2022 Type: Fifth semester, Concentration in Technologies course Software used: Dynamo, Revit, Enscape Projects Description Three of the projects completely done using Dynamo, Revit. Integration of Revit with Dynamo amplifies its capabilities. Revit Dynamo automation allows designers to simplify BIM workflows and processes through computer design and data-driven automation. Dynamo allows the designer to review multiple design options and also test the performance in a timely manner. This is a futuristic program that is a asset to a design team.

Porsche Car Dealership Design Date: April 2022 Type: Fourth semester studio project Software used: Revit, Lumion Project Description Design Concept The car dealership building needs to stand out on the site and have a sparkling, aesthetic form. In this project, the curved form of the Porsche car design was the main inspiration for the building design and roof form. The form was then enhanced to a curved roof and curtain glazing wall while paying attention to the sustainable building materials. Usage of a rounded curtain wall allows a wider horizon view of the showroom from the outside and also optimizes spaces in the showroom. The wavy design of the roof delivers a modern and edgy feel to the structure while it is wind resistant and low maintenance roof which is ideal considering Ontario’s climate conditions. On top of that Arched roof helps in Co2 emission reduction. The service department’s roof has a skylight to get more natural light and save energy by minimizing artificial lights. The interior design of the elements like salesperson workstations, reception, and managers’ offices follow the same curvy pattern of the building to create a harmonic and pleasant space for clients in the showroom. There is direct access from the showroom to the mezzanine (second floor) where we have offices, stuff lunchrooms, locker rooms, and washrooms.
