Project Description: work is currently under way to produce an outline planning application for up to 10,000 dwellings north of Harlow. A prospectus was created in June 2013 to communicate the client’s design intentions and concept to various stakeholders and influence the preparation of the District Plan. Role Within Project: Project Urban Designer managing a small team of urban designers and architects to prepare: • overall concept of necklace of villages around Gilston Park, • emerging masterplan vision and CGIs illustrating this concept, • capacity studies underpinning masterplanning work. Project Management tasks include liaising with the client and consultant team, arranging and attending meetings, producing minutes and action lists to achieve key milestones within a tight programme.
concluded that the only viable masterplan in terms of sustainability and economy would be a new independent development which deliver mutual benefits to both East Hertfordshire and Harlow.

Project Description: Chilmington Green will be a key urban extension of Ashford. John Thompson & Partners (JTP) were appointed to carry out an Area Action Plan and an outline planning application for the first phase of development, through an extensive community planning process. The project has been shortlisted for the 2014 National Urban Design Awards. Role Within Project: Project Urban Designer, innovative environmental masterplanning methodology (used office-wide at JTP), town centre and retail strategy design, character study. Liasing and presenting to large client and consultant team, providing community planning expertise.

Project Description: Concept masterplan strategy to rejuvenate the city of Mรถnchengladbach, originally comprised of two areas, Rheydt and Gladbach. The regeneration strategy is aimed at unifying the city whilst focusing on developing a futurebased concept for the development of city. Role Within Project: Project Urban Designer in charge of drafting the masterplan, managing the production of presentations and boards for community planning events, and attending workshops in Germany.

Project Description: Grimshaw was asked by XXX to produce a high quality scheme in the heart of Doha, south of the historic district of Souq Waqif. As part of the brief, the client requested the development of the quintessential contemporary Qatari architectural approach. The competition is currently under consideration. Role Within Project: Urban Designer in charge of selecting relevant precedents, story boarding, public realm design, drafting elevations and plans for the retail and office component.
