Here at Drift, our mission is to change the home decor industry, one rug at a time. •We are constantly on the hunt for unique and handmade. Our commitment to you is to travel the world and bring these items to you. Each item is special in its own way. •It’s time to get back to the craft. In a world of mass production, our ultimate goal is to embrace the craftsmanship of true artisans. Choosing handmade over machine made insures that your product will truly be one of a kind. •Let’s tell the story. Each item has a story. Drift works with the locals in the country of origin to dig deep into when, where, why, and how each item was made. We believe the story is everything. •Our products have stood the tests of time. Many of the items you see have lived a life prior to the one they will have in your home. The techniques used by artisans are time tested and often times passed down through generations. By curating a collection with durable and timeless items, they will enjoy many years in their future life. •We support local and small business. As a small business, we understand the time energy and effort put forth by individuals to pursue something they love and believe in. We make community involvement a priority, and also take the time to learn about the communities and individuals who make the products we sell. •It is our job to give back to the world. With each purchase made, a 10% of the proceeds will be made to an organization in that product’s purchased origin.

This Beni M'Guild is a total work of art. I love the mix of color, but the design is really what gives this rug so much character. If you look at the back, it appears the women who created it started to do a design, but then changed her mind and just went with a freeform, abstract style! This rug's palette is a warm mix of reds, creams, camel, with hints of navy blue.

Meaning “happy” in Arabic, this name came immediately to mind because of it’s joyful pattern and palette. This one is a vintage Rehamna. The Rehamna tribe no longer weaves rugs, so it's always special when I find one. This rug is a combination of wool and goat's hair.

I had to get this one because this one is thought to be a mix of the Boujad and Azilal tribes! It has the motif and design of a Boujad, but the knot style of an Azilal! Such an interesting combo, I've never seen one anything like it. Many times this could happen if a woman was raised in one tribal region but then picked up weaving techniques after moving to a new area.

Beni M'Guild rugs come from the Middle Atlas region and feature higher pile and repetitive patterns with geometric shapes. This one is unlike most - she actually has lower pile, and the design is more freeform and asymmetrical like you'd find in a Boujad rug, with various symbols. The pile has been worn down, but don't be deceived - this is a heavy rug! You can even find a date that it was likely created in (1997) and a name in there. Such a unique one with so much character!

Meaning "mixed" in French, I named this lovely rug because it's actually a mix of 2 different tribes. It is a Zemmour rug but has motifs characteristic of the Ait Bou Ichaouen (Talsint) tribes. Another unique one, I've never come across a rug remotely close to this design.

This vintage Beni M'Guild had the most unique pattern and design. The diamond pattern is personalized with tribal motifs randomly placed throughout the bottom 2/3 of the rug. I love the imperfect vibe - truly giving a nod to its handmade charm.

Rafik is a beautiful find from the Azilal tribe. His pattern is perfect for the lover of symmetry. He is handwoven with cotton and wool, creating the perfect mix of high style and casual vibes.

Meaning "faded" in Moroccan Arabic, this stunning Beni Ourain rug does not disappoint. I love the traditional neutral diamond pattern that is so dark it's almost black on the one end and then fades slowly into a lighter gray, almost giving off an ombre effect. Such a lovely piece!

Celeste is a stunning find from the Ait Bou Ichaouen tribe of the Talsint region of Morocco. I love this one so much because really she is so unique. Talsint rugs tend to feature bold colors and freeform patterns. And although this rug's pattern doesn't disappoint, one of the most unique things about Celeste is her creamy base color! I've only had one other larger rug with these lighter tones as it's very uncommon for this tribe.

Meaning "normal" or "plain" in Arabic, this stunning Beni Ourain kilim may be a bit simple in design but it has a couple extraordinary features. First is its fantastic size! Coming in at approximately 7' wide by 11' long, it's the perfect wide size for a living room. Also another unique thing to note is his looped pile, which is characteristic of this tribe's kilim rugs.

The pattern and color combo on this rug is just so carefree and fun! It is rare find with it being woven in 2 techniques, which is quite rare for Azilal rugs. The majority of the rug is a striped flatwoven kilim style with an accent diagonal lines and motifs woven on top. Hand selected in Morocco, this rug is a true work of art that has been passed down for generations.

Finding a smaller or medium sized vintage Beni Ourain isn't very common, so this little guy is a treasured find! Measuring in at approximately 5.5 x 6', his almost square size is perfect in an Entry, or as an accent in a seating area! Or even hung on a wall as a true work of art! I hand selected this piece in Morocco in the Spring of 2020.

This little rug was likely a saddle cover! It's a mini vintage Beni M'Guild and is excellent condition. My favorite feature is how the pattern changes up throughout the rug. It would make the perfect little rug for a bathroom, but also could be hung on the wall too. It would be perfect for the art enthusiast or collector, who wants an interesting piece of Amazigh culture and history in their home.

This stunning vintage Rehamna rug with rare bold colors is such a great find. The Rehamna tribe no longer weaves rugs, so whenever I come across one, it's a nice surprise! This one is estimated to be around 40 years old. It is perfectly imperfect, with lower pile and character, but is truly a work of art!
