Site Analysis

Context Undulating Coreten Steel Structure The Undulate structure mimics the wavy outline of the sea and rustic tecture resembles the hull of the ship in early 20th century. Black granite, amphitheatric terrains with LED lights for seating and walking Black granite represent the waters in its rich history of Boat Quay. Faint echoes also resonate from the wind-waves mechanism inside the terrain. The irregular distances between the structures create porosity for users to weave in and out.

Pedestrian Circulation Vehicle Circulation

Copper coloured corten steel provides a strong contrast against the dark terrains. Merging the active (promenade) and the passive (river) to create a dynamic connection between the river and nearby historic landmarks through sensory experience.

05 THE DREAM-CHILD MOVING THROUGH THE LAND Miniature Garden showcase for Jurong Lake Garden Festival. The miniature garden showcase theme is fairytale, and we are taking the Alice in Wonderland as inspiration. We dive into Alice’s journey through a series of whimsical spaces guided by illuminating lights. In doing so, we also wanted to show how we can play with different texture and colors of various plants.
