Local RE/MAX Brokerages Merge, Creating a Win-Win for Agents and Clients This month, I am both excited and honored to share with you a very special announcement – something my business partner, Frank Russo and I have been working on for almost a year now. On June 27th, 2011, RE/MAX Professionals formalized their merger with RE/MAX Integrity.
September 11th 2011. Our companies combined will represent approximately 200 professional and experienced real estate agents. The company name will remain RE/MAX Professionals however we will now have seven valley office locations to services the Metro areas.
As some of you may remember, 10 years ago I worked with Ed McCloud at RE/MAX Integrity at the office located on 67th Ave and the 101 Loop. Over the years Ed was my mentor and my friend – he has always been a wealth of knowledge, not only about real estate, but also on how to grow my business to the next level. It is because of our shared history, common values and similar business philosophies that we believe this merger is a great fit for both companies.
This merger furthers the outstanding reputations of two premier groups offering world class service to Arizona homebuyers and sellers. “We took a long look and saw that a merger of these brokerages would create a win-win situation for all parties involved,” said the co-owner of RE/MAX Professionals, Frank Russo.

In 2010, agents from our two companies participated in a total of 4,528 closed which ranked them No. 8 nationally and No.1 in Arizona, among all RE/MAX Affiliates, for closed transactions sides, according to the recently released Real Trends 500 report. When Frank and I first thought about the idea of merging what we have built over the past 10 years with RE/MAX
Integrity, it was just that, merely a thought. Now today, several years later, we are calling it a reality. In cooperation with Multiple Listing Services (MLS) across the nation, Fannie Mae developed a Short Sale Assistance Desk to assist real estate professionals in handling post-offer short sale issues that may relate to servicer responsiveness, the existence of a second lien, or issues involving mortgage insurance. The Assistance Desk is meant to serve as a backstop to empower real estate professionals in those cases where the normal approval channel has bogged down, and where Fannie Mae’s intervention may serve as a catalyst for progress towards a resolution. The Assistance Desk is not intended to replace the normal approval channels, nor is it intended to serve as a compliance or enforcement function or as a potential appeal for decisions the real estate professional believes to be unfavorable. There are eligibity guidelines which must be met before Fannie Mae can assist a short sale listing, however, this is a step in the right direction to improve the overall short sale process. It can be a complicated process which takes the expertise of a Realtor who has experience handling short sales. As an agent with a CDPE Designation, I can offer that knowledge and so does my team - let us help. Now is the time to ask for help.
