Projects are separated by club size, so do not worry about competing with larger Key Clubs! Be sure to submit at least 8 issues in a 3 ring binder. More Information Include a cost sheet with signatures and a club information sheet with your submission. Please see above. You will have 60 minutes to write an essay. The essay will be judged on content, grammatical accuracy, originality, and clarity. You will have 5 minutes to give a speech on the topic: “What does Key Club mean to you?” It will be judged based on appearance and effectiveness of message. The poster should be printed out, no larger than 17” by 22”, no more than 1/8” thick, and should not bear the name of any school, community, or district. Please see above. It must be 30-60 seconds in length and must be a VHS or DVD clip. The entry must be playable on a computer and a DVD player. Bring your best skills and talents to DCON and perform in front of other Key Clubbers! Any background music must be brought on a separate CD. The sign-up form will be available at DCON.

Whether you can dance, sing, act, make the crowd go crazy with laughter, or you can actually show us some magic, we would love for you to come out to the talent show! Potions and Spells
• No act may exceed 5 minutes (unless requested) • You have to provide your own materials; instruments, CDs, props, etc. • If you are a singing act you must have a CD without the lyrics on it and you must have a copy of your lyrics to give to the judges ! • ALL ACTS MUST BE APPROPRIATE AND NOT OFFENSIVE
You should nominate that special person for the Dr. Andrew Batsis Key of Honor Award! This individual should be recognized at the 69th Annual District Convention for all of their work and receive the highest award within the New Jersey District of Key Club International.
Process for Nomination: All nominations must be organized in a binder or folder. Must contain the following: Biographical sketch of personal history Evidence of community involvement Kiwanis Family and other youth service affiliations Letter of Recommendation: Maximum of six letters submitted. Kiwanis Family organization letters are highly recommended. Community, civic, and school letters are also suggested. Applicant’s history of service

Kiwanis International is for adults and has to do with service just like the rest of the K Family. Kiwanis sponsors the other clubs mentioned within the K Family. Each Kiwanis Club is different, but in the end they all help each person along the way of service!
Circle K is for college students. This is a selfgoverning service organization that helps with leadership developing and community service.
Aktion Club is a service club for adults with disabilities. The purpose is to give back to the community and help these adults gain leadership skills. The motto of the Aktion Club is “Where development has no disability.�
Builders Club is a service organization for middle school and junior high students. This helps students serve their school and community. Builders Club also teaches great leadership skills like most organizations in the K Family.

As we all know Key Club is a High School service organization. The main focus of Key Club is to build our home, school, and community.

K-Kids is a service organization for students in elementary school. This truly shows that there is no age limit on helping your community! Young kids are able to learn how to be a leader and help as much as they can, starting at a young age.
