abaca Abaca is a heavy, completely hand-woven carpet, made out of Abaca, a fiber made from the banana tree leaves. It has a nice glossy look, is softer than sisal and is hydrophobic. It is recommended for domestic use as bedrooms, living rooms and halls.

DIGITAL For this hand-tufted carpet Limited Edition varies between a mat loop pile and a glossy cut pile. For the loop pile the designers use a thread consisting of a compound of 11 fibres in wool, cotton, linen and bamboo. The cut pile is hand-tufted bamboo, characterised by its high-gloss sheen.

As a rule Digital is not given an edging.

Each ETNIK carpet is hand-woven in Anatolia and assembled at Limited Edition in Belgium, using only the finest pieces of canvas – traditionally made of wool and goat hair. For an added touch of authenticity, each carpet bears a replication of the tribal signs Berbers have traditionally used to handily mask repairs in their tents over time.

ETNIk desert Etnik Desert constitutes a splendid addition to Etnik, made from nomadic Berber tent-cloths. The carpets are hand-woven in Afghanistan and subsequently manually finished in the workshops in Belgium. The result is absolutely captivating. With its coarse texture and restrained colour, Etnik Desert may show the inhospitable side of the desert, but elegance is never very far away.

LOOPING Looping follows the natural movement of winding cord and features no less than 1,600 points of attachment per square meter. It can take between 100 and 110 hours of manual craftsmanship to produce this singular flooring sensation.

Looping was primarily designed and treated for outdoor use (UV and moisture resistant) but is also perfectly suited for indoor use in contemporary designer houses.

A fresh colour accent gives Tribu Zen a colouring in natural tones that is out of the ordinary. The basis is a restrained, linear fabric in wool and goat’s wool that is given a touch of blue, red or white in polyester and viscose. In this way Tribu Zen exudes the ethnic flair of traditional Berber carpets in a manner all of its own.

The carpets are latex-backed, making them anti-slip and sound-absorbent.
